During his NFL press conference on Monday, March 4, Jason, 36, fondly recalled the Eagles’ Christmas party in 2014. Afterward, he and his teammates went to Buffalo Billiards, where his life would change forever. It was there that he first laid eyes on Kylie, 31, who would become his future wife. Jason vividly remembers the moment she walked through the door.

The Eagles center became emotional as he recalled the moment he first saw Kylie at the bar, describing it as a memory that is deeply ingrained in his mind.

Jason shed tears as he shared the details of that night with the reporters and his family, who were present to mark his retirement announcement on Monday.

He described his spouse as if she were gliding through the opening with an aura around her. When she began speaking, he couldn't help but wonder, "Is this what love feels like?" Jason thought she was a beautiful and smart woman, serious yet playful. He knew right away that she was the one.

Jason shared that Kylie, whom he married in April 2013, has played a significant role in his 13-season career with the Eagles.

Having Kylie by my side has truly been a blessing. I believe that my success in my career is closely tied to her presence in my life. She brings out the best in me with her love, support, honesty, intelligence, and even a gentle nudge when needed. Every award or recognition I have received feels even more special because she is a part of my journey.

Jason expressed his gratitude to Kylie for blessing him with three lovely daughters and a fulfilling life outside of his career. He appreciates the joy she brings him more than his success on the field.

As a proud Super Bowl champion, Jason cherishes his daughters Wyatt, Ellie, and Bennet, who are 4, 3, and 12 months old respectively. He lovingly thanked Kylie for the wonderful journey they have had together.

Jason also gave shout-outs to his mom, Donna Kelce, his dad, Ed Kelce, and his younger brother, Travis Kelce, while discussing his time in the NFL, which began in 2011.

"So, here we are today," he announced. "I want to let you know that after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, I am retiring from the NFL."

He playfully said, "I have to confess, today I am officially overrated. Very overrated. Achieving this took a lot of effort and perseverance. Throughout my career, I have always been underestimated, and honestly, I wish I still was. Nothing brings me more happiness than proving people wrong."

Jason, who has hinted at retiring after the 2023 season on multiple occasions, ended his message with kind words for the city he now calls home.

"I have always wanted to play my entire career in one city. Philadelphia couldn't have been a better fit for me," he expressed. "I am excited for the new challenges and opportunities ahead, carrying with me the lessons learned here. We will always share the bond of being Philadelphians."

Kylie had mentioned Jason's potential retirement in a previous interview on Good Morning America.

“I think that whatever he does he’s going to be successful in,” Kylie gushed. “I’m not just saying that because I’m his wife. I think that is his personality.”
