Janelle Brown, mother of Garrison Brown, became worried after receiving his last text message.
As per a police report revealed on Wednesday, March 6, the 54-year-old Sister Wives star informed authorities that her son had sent a message to a group chat involving individuals associated with the Brown family.
Garrison reportedly wrote that he misses the good times and struggles with wanting to hate the person who shared them.
Janelle, not part of the chat, found out about Garrison's response and reached out to him. She told the police that she had a short conversation with Garrison (legal name Robert Garrison Brown) before he stopped replying.
Gabriel Brown offered to check on his brother Garrison after their mother asked for help. He entered Garrison's home in Flagstaff, Arizona and called the police upon finding Garrison's body.
On Tuesday, March 5, US confirmed that Garrison, 25, passed away from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to the report, Garrison's roommates heard a noise on Monday evening but did not investigate as they did not think it was a gunshot.
Later that day, Janelle and her ex-husband Kody Brown shared their sorrow over the passing of their son.
“We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our beloved son, Robert Garrison Brown,” they posted on Instagram. “He brought so much joy to everyone he knew. His absence has left a void in our hearts that is indescribable. We kindly ask for privacy as we remember and honor him.”

Garrison and Gabriel, Janelle and Kody also have children together, Madison, Hunter, and Savanah. Janelle and Kody separated in December 2022.
Before Garrison passed away, he and his father had a strained relationship. Kody clashed with Garrison and Gabriel over his strict COVID-19 rules. While there was tension between Kody, Gabriel, and Garrison, Janelle expressed concern for her sons' mental well-being during the filming of season 18 of the TLC reality show in 2022.
In a recent interview, Janelle shared her observations about her sons, Gabriel and Garrison. She mentioned that Gabriel is someone who experiences emotions very intensely but tends to keep his feelings to himself. On the other hand, Garrison appears to be either angry or more melancholic, lacking the carefree attitude he once had.
Janelle provided an update in November 2023 on Kody's relationship with his sons, expressing hope that they would reconcile and mend their relationship in the future.
Janelle shared with Us in November 2023 that even if there is no reconciliation, finding peace is important. She believes that tension in relationships, especially with parents, can have a negative impact on one's life. It is crucial for children to have a good relationship with their father. Janelle hopes that things will improve in the future.
