Despite their ups and downs through the years, Jamie Lynn Spears has a lot of love for Britney Spears.
“She’s such a great big sister,” Jamie Lynn, 32, commented in the most recent episode of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. “I really love her. We have our moments of conflict, which the whole world has witnessed. I’ve realized it’s best to keep our family matters private, but the truth is, all families have their disagreements. We just handle it better than most.”
Competing on the U.K. reality show, Jamie Lynn also mentioned that she is the “one person” in her 41-year-old sister's life who has “never taken anything from her.”
"Both she and I had a tumultuous upbringing," Jamie Lynn pondered. "We faced difficult circumstances and coped with them in our own ways. There were times when we lashed out at each other when we shouldn't have."
The former Zoey 101 star also revealed to her co-competitor Sam Thompson that Britney had expressed concern for her before she departed for the show, which started filming earlier this month.
"Jamie Lynn expressed her concern, saying, 'I could imagine she’d be worried about me out here.' She believes Britney is probably checking in on her heavily and questioning her decision to come to Australia. Jamie Lynn mentioned that Britney had asked her before, 'You’re really going to do it?' Jamie Lynn amusingly expressed, 'I don’t know if I can say, ‘I’m going to go to Australia and check it out.’”
When Thompson inquired about Britney's possible reaction to Jamie Lynn's appearance on the reality show, she humorously responded, "Me crying, she’d probably be like, ‘Y’all get her out of there, right now!’"
In a previous episode, Jamie Lynn disclosed that she had spoken to Britney after her sister released The Woman in Me.
"We love each other, and I think every family goes through their own battles and disagreements," Jamie Lynn stated, "But I did talk to her before coming here."
Britney's memoir covers a range of topics about her life, including her difficult relationship with her sister Jamie Lynn, whom she referred to as a "total bitch." The "Toxic" singer also criticized Jamie Lynn for not doing more to support her in her 13-year conservatorship, which was put in place by her father, Jamie Spears, in 2008. In 2021, Britney successfully petitioned to end her conservatorship, and a judge granted her request in November of that year.
After Britney’s emotional June 2021 hearing, Jamie Lynn addressed her sister’s bombshell courtroom statement.

"I may not have publicly supported her with a hashtag, but rest assured I have been supporting my sister long before it became a trend, and I'll continue to support her long after. Take note of that," she wrote on Instagram in June 2021.
She continued with pride, "I'm so proud of her for speaking up and for finally requesting new legal representation as I advised her to do years ago. Whether it's ending the conservatorship or pursuing any other dream that will make her happy, I'm fully behind her 100 percent. I love and support my sister, always have and always will, as long as she's happy. All we can do is keep praying."
