Intriguing Twist: Kevin Costner Skips Court Date in Child Support Battle and Vacations with His Kids - Here's What Happened Next!

Kevin Costner fails to appear in court for child support dispute, choosing vacation with children instead Divorcing from Christine Baumgartner, he now owes a hefty $129,000 monthly in child support

Kevin Costner did not attend a child support hearing due to being on vacation with his children, Cayden, Hayes, and Grace, who he shares with Christine Baumgartner. Costner's legal team had already informed the court about his absence, citing a preplanned trip to British Columbia.

Costner's attorney mentioned in the legal documents the agreement of shared custody between the ex-couple, stating that "the children, who are teenagers, will have the freedom to move between his and Christine's residence once she finds a new home." It was confirmed in May that Baumgartner, aged 49, filed for divorce from Costner, aged 68, after being married for almost 19 years.

"We regret to announce that Mr. Costner finds himself in a situation where external factors have forced him to be a part of a divorce proceeding," stated a representative for Costner. "During this challenging period, we kindly request that Mr. Costner, Christine, and their children be granted the privacy they require."

After their separation, Costner and Baumgartner became embroiled in a legal dispute over Baumgartner's desire to continue residing in their home with their children. In her legal filing, Baumgartner asserted that she lacked the financial means to relocate from the property. Nevertheless, a judge ultimately decreed that Baumgartner must vacate the joint residence by the conclusion of the month.

According to a recent source, the situation between the two individuals may continue to deteriorate. Last month, an insider disclosed that Kevin has a straightforward perspective on the matter. Since Christine initiated the divorce, she should adhere to the prenuptial agreement which requires her to vacate the premises within 30 days. This could result in a bitter legal battle as Kevin is known for his strong convictions and stubbornness.

On the other hand, another insider revealed that Christine believes it is Kevin who should leave the property. She holds him responsible for what she believes caused the end of their marriage - prioritizing work over their family.

The couple's financial disputes, including child support payments, have garnered attention. Baumgartner initially asked for $248,000 monthly support in June. Costner later tried to reduce the amount due to his lower salary after leaving Yellowstone.

On Tuesday, July 11, a judge decided that Baumgartner will receive $129,755 monthly child support from Costner. Additionally, Costner must pay $200,000 for attorneys' fees and $100,000 for forensic costs as per the interim ruling.

Costner, meanwhile, filed documents asking Baumgartner to pay his attorneys’ fees amid their divorce proceedings.
