According to recent leaks, players of Honkai: Star Rail will reportedly receive a free four-star character when Version 1.4 launches later this year. The release of HoYoverse's newest sci-fi RPG has already provided players with numerous opportunities to obtain their favorite characters. The game has previously offered login rewards and partnered with Amazon Prime Gaming, resulting in the distribution of Stellar Jades and Star Rail Special Passes. Now, leaked information suggests that a future update will introduce a free four-star character for players. This will not be the first time that Honkai: Star Rail has offered free units to its players. During HoYoverse's pre-registration campaign for Star Rail, players who surpassed the milestone of 3.5 million users received a free copy of Serval, a reward that generated excitement among fans. Additionally, the game has also rewarded players with four-star characters like Sushang and Herta for clearing in-game events. Based on recent leaks, players can expect even more freebies with the release of Star Rail's Version 1.4.

A new addition has been discovered in the "Honey Hunter World" database of Honkai: Star Rail. Version 1.4 will introduce a free four-star character, as revealed in the datamined description. Players can use an in-game item to obtain either Luka, Serval, Hook, or Pela. However, it is unclear how this item can be obtained within the game. Notably, Luka is the only character not included in the game's original lineup and was introduced alongside Kafka in the Version 1.2 update that is still ongoing.

In Version 1.4, three out of the four featured characters will be available for free. The latest updates have confirmed that both Hook and Pela will be included in Version 1.3, alongside the new five-star character Fu Xuan. Leaks suggest that the Version 1.4 update will also bring back Luka on the limited gacha banner, possibly as part of Topaz's banner along with the new four-star character Guinaifen.

As Honkai: Star Rail continues to expand its roster since its April release, players can expect the addition of a new free reward. Each update brings three new characters, and the upcoming Version 1.3 will introduce Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx to the roster.
