Hearthstone's classic CCG game modes are introducing a set of randomized rule variants for the first time ever, bringing a fresh twist to every match. Fall of Ulduar, the new mini-set for the Titans expansion, will not only introduce new cards but also include limited-time Anomalies.
Anomalies, previously seen in Battlegrounds mode as a new element for this season, will now be applicable to Standard, Wild, Arena, and Twist games with the mini-set expansion. Just like in Battlegrounds, players will be able to preview the Anomaly before the mulligan phase, allowing them to strategize accordingly based on the random rule set.
Randomness is integral to the storyline of the mini-expansion, which revolves around the new Yogg-Saron, Unleashed. Yogg has always been a beloved card that brings unpredictable elements to battles in various game modes. Completing The Great Yogg Escape, a time-limited questline, will allow players to earn extra rewards.
Alongside the introduction of Anomalies, the mini-set will also introduce a new feature to the recently launched Twist mode. Starting on October 1, the October season of Twist will introduce the Wonders XL ruleset. This format is similar to the current Wonders format, but allows players to construct decks with anywhere between 30-40 cards, with their health aligned with the size of their card pool.
Fall of Ulduar will add 38 new cards to the Titans card pool. As usual for a mini-set, you can either find the new cards in Titans packs, or purchase the full set for $15 or 2000 Gold.
