Hearthstone has recently introduced Twist, a game mode on the ladder that bridges the gap between Standard and Wild. This dynamic game mode promises constant surprises for Hearthstone players due to its ever-changing nature.
Twist will be integrated into Traditional Hearthstone, featuring a brand new ladder system where players can progress and earn rewards on a monthly basis. Starting from July, the Classic format in Hearthstone will be officially replaced by Twist, although elements of the nostalgic game mode will still be present in its successor.
The rules of Hearthstone Twist are constantly changing, making it a dynamic format that falls between Standard and Wild in terms of power. Each month, the Twist format introduces a new set of rules, restrictions, and available card pools, which can be easily viewed in-game. Some popular Twists may make a comeback or be repeated for multiple months. Occasionally, the Twist game mode may be temporarily disabled to prepare for future seasons.
The New Age Hearthstone Twist ruleset, the first of its kind, includes every card from the current Core set as well as cards from all Hearthstone expansions starting from Ashes of Outland. As new card sets are released, they will be added to the ever-expanding New Age card pool in future iterations. However, during the initial beta run of New Age in Hearthstone Twist, players are restricted from using any neutral cards in their decks.
The beta version of Hearthstone Twist, known as Patch 26.6, is set to launch on June 27. During the few days leading up to July, players can participate in the June Twist ladder. Once July begins, they will have the entire month to fully experience the New Age ruleset in Hearthstone Twist. Similar to previous seasons, players will only receive monthly seasonal rewards based on their highest rank achieved in Standard, Wild, and Twist. However, they can still earn cards and packs based on their Classic ladder rank in June.
In celebration of the new game mode, Hearthstone is offering a generous giveaway of free packs through Twitch drops. Fans can tune in to a 24-hour streaming event starting on June 22 at 9 am PST/12 pm EST, where they can watch featured content creators playing Hearthstone on a preview client of the Twist game mode. By watching three hours from each of the eight-hour blocks during the event, players have the opportunity to earn an impressive nine free packs. These packs include one from every expansion that can be used in the exciting New Age Twist format, except for Hearthstone's latest Festival of Legends set. Hearthstone is currently available for Mobile and PC platforms.
