Hailee Steinfeld Laughs Off Josh Allen Engagement Speculations, Playfully Highlights the Advantages of Dating a Sportsman

Hailee Steinfeld made a few rare references to boyfriend Josh Allen while attending the 2024 Golden Globes.

Steinfeld, 27, revealed to E! News at the awards show on Sunday, January 7 that she had a cute little doe happening as she flaunted her jewelry, seemingly dispelling rumors of engagement with Allen, 27. She explained that she found the jewelry real cute, with no specific reason given.

Notably wearing the ring on her right hand, Steinfeld accessorized her custom pink Prada dress with black gloves, a tiered diamond necklace, and sparkly earrings, achieving a look reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She later shared a detailed look at her dress on Instagram, highlighting its open back and bow.

When asked about the best part of dating an athlete, Steinfeld was evasive, saying, "Come on now, what isn't there to like?"

Attending the ceremony alone while her boyfriend Allen played for the Buffalo Bills, Steinfeld shared with USA Today that she was confident in the team's success. She even joked with a reporter about the wrong jersey number, as Allen wears No. 17. Ultimately, the Bills secured a victory that night, securing the top spot in the AFC East.

Earlier this month, there were rumors circulating about Steinfeld and Allen possibly moving their romance to the next level. The two have been connected since May 2023, just one month after Allen ended his long-term relationship with Brittany Williams. Despite going out for numerous date nights, the couple has mainly kept their relationship out of the public eye.

“Hailee and Josh have been dating for approximately a month and everything is going smoothly,” revealed a source in an exclusive interview with We in June 2023, and mentioned that Steinfeld was “not placing any undue pressure or unrealistic expectations on the relationship.”

In August 2023, Allen finally addressed his relationship status after being caught on camera kissing on vacation. He expressed his surprise that people still cared about it, admitting that it made him feel insecure and invaded.

Two months later, Steinfeld showed her support for Allen by shopping for Bills merchandise with his mother and joining him at the team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. The couple also made an appearance at a New York Rangers vs. Buffalo Sabres game in a private suite, with Allen wearing a Sabres hockey jersey, as seen in social media footage.
