Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, struggled to stay on top of the latest fashion trends. On Wednesday, January 10, she shared a video on Instagram showcasing her outfit of the day. The ensemble featured an oversized red sweater and matching wide-leg pants. In the clip, recorded in a hallway mirror, Paltrow revealed that she opted for the bold color based on insights from color therapy, which associates red with warmth, strength, creativity, and passion.
Paltrow proudly donned an all-red ensemble, despite its lack of total coordination. She complemented the look with a gold necklace, oversized eyeglasses, and gold rings. Her confidence wavered, however, after coming across a New York Times Style article with the headline, “Is It Cringey to Wear Matching Sweats?”

A picture of a model from the Balenciaga fall 2024 show donning a red hoodie and matching crimson pants accompanied the title. This led Paltrow to question her own attire, as she shared a screenshot of the article on her feed with the caption, “Oh wait I just saw this. Should I change?”
Paltrow did not say whether she ended up changing her look, but this isn't the first time she has sought input from her fans. In August 2023, she posted a poll asking for votes on whether she should embrace her natural gray hair or "stay blonde." This came after a fan complimented her on her natural gray hair during a Q&A session.

In a video that went along with the survey, Paltrow displayed her white hairs and asked, "I don't know. I've just been lazy over the summer. Should I? Do you guys think I should go gray or keep my highlights?"
Most recently, Paltrow revealed her silver roots at the Los Angeles premiere of The Brothers Sun - a TV series created by her husband, Brad Falchuk - on January 4. She paired her freshly blown-out locks with a maroon dress by Cong Tri.
