Former assistant accuses Vin Diesel of sexual battery in lawsuit

Actor Vin Diesel faces a sexual assault lawsuit by a former assistant who claims he committed sexual battery during the production of Fast Five

Vin Diesel, famous for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise and as the voice of Groot in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movies, is facing a lawsuit from a former assistant alleging sexual battery, discrimination, creating a hostile work environment, and wrongful termination. According to a report by Vanity Fair, the incident is said to have occurred while working on the film Fast Five in 2010.

According to the lawsuit, Asta Jonasson was instructed to wait for Diesel in his suite while he entertained hostesses he had brought back from a club. Upon his return, Diesel allegedly pulled Jonasson onto the bed, grabbing her wrists with each of his hands. After Jonasson asked Diesel to stop and tried to leave, he proceeded to grope and kiss her, disregarding her pleas to stop.

Universal PicturesFast X star Vin Diesel is facing a sexual battery lawsuit from a former assistant.

The lawsuit alleges that Ms. Jonasson felt pressured to not reject her supervisor more strongly, as she believed it was important for her personal safety and job security. However, the situation became hopeless when Vin Diesel pushed her dress up, molested her body, and proceeded to undress and assault her. Following the attack, she was fired by Samantha Vincent, sister of Diesel and president of One Race, the victim's production company.

The lawsuit alleges that she was terminated because she was no longer deemed valuable, claiming that Vin Diesel had exploited her for his own sexual gratification and that she had resisted his unwanted advances. Additionally, the lawsuit includes various other claims such as sexual discrimination, emotional distress, hostile work environment, and wrongful termination.

California's AB2777, which temporarily suspends the statute of limitations for cases of sexual abuse, has prompted the latest lawsuit. The law was enacted in response to the #MeToo and Time's Up movements, allowing victims to come forward even after the usual time limits have passed. At present, neither Diesel nor Vincent or One Race have addressed the accusations, but we will keep you informed if any official statement is issued.

As a passionate fan of Vin Diesel and the Fast & Furious franchise, I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the recent allegations of sexual battery and misconduct against him. The claims made by his former assistant are serious and should be thoroughly investigated. It is crucial that we take these accusations seriously and support the victim in seeking justice.

I have always admired Vin Diesel for his talent and dedication to his craft, but if these allegations are true, his actions are completely unacceptable and inexcusable. It is important to remember that everyone, regardless of their fame or status, should be held accountable for their actions. I hope that the truth will come to light and that the victim will receive the support and justice she deserves.
