Fan Crafts Miniature Hyrule Map in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Discover the incredible artistry of a Zelda fan who has crafted the tiniest version of the Hyrule map ever made The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom inspires this fan to create a stunning miniature replica that captures the essence of the game world in exquisite detail

A devoted fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has crafted a miniature version of Hyrule that can be held in the palm of your hand. This incredible replica, which has been carefully sculpted and painted, is an astonishing 1:100,000 scale model of the vast and sprawling landscape featured in the game. The in-game map of Hyrule is one of the largest ever seen in a video game, and its sheer size can only be truly appreciated by walking from one end to the other, a task that can take over half an hour in real-life time. However, for this creative fan, the challenge of shrinking this iconic map down to a pocket-sized scale was simply too irresistible to ignore.

A miniature version of the vast Hyrule map has been created by Reddit user and YouTuber Neck_of_the_Woods. Unlike most players who construct flying machines to navigate the terrain in Tears of the Kingdom, this tiny replica of the legendary land is so small that only ants would find it challenging to explore. Despite its size, the model includes all the iconic landmarks from Hyrule, including Death Mountain and the Lost Woods. Neck_of_the_Woods has shared a video on YouTube that takes viewers through the meticulous process of bringing Hyrule to life on such a small scale. The map was initially sketched on paper, then molded in clay to create the topography, before finally being painted with a bright but washed-out color palette, similar to the game's graphics. The replica is 100,000 times smaller than the original and measures 4.7 by 4 inches.

The map used in Tears of the Kingdom is actually a modified version of the one from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Since the Hyrule surface map in Breath of the Wild only has a few differences from the Tears of the Kingdom map, it was easy to replicate. The replica includes all the essential details, from Eventide Island in the bottom right corner to the little blue dot representing Gerudo town in the desert. It might be exciting to see Neck_of_the_Woods create tiny versions of the sky islands and depths from Tears of the Kingdom, but this could be a challenging task.
