Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak-Biermann's custody battle continues as they request an "investigation" from a family law attorney. In a filing on June 28, Kroy, a former linebacker, asks the court to appoint Diane Woods as Guardian ad Litem for their minor children — KJ (12), Kash (10), and twins Kane and Kaia (9) — so that she can start her investigation. It's worth noting that Kroy also adopted Zolciak-Biermann's two daughters from previous relationships, Brielle (26) and Ariana (21), after their marriage in 2011.
Wood, the attorney, has 30 years of experience in family law and domestic relations matters, according to his bio on the Huff & Woods website.
Biermann recently filed a new document, less than two weeks after both spouses filed for divorce in May. During a span of four minutes, the estranged couple made five phone calls to the authorities. In one of these calls on June 16, Zolciak-Biermann claimed that Biermann was filing kidnapping charges for their son going to the rodeo, stating that the child was dropped off with a woman named Aleese (sic), as stated in a obtained police report from Us.
Zolciak-Biermann stated in a separate 911 call that she authorized her friend Elise Humphries to accompany KJ to the event. The file did not contain any additional information about the purported kidnapping or any evidence of paperwork filed by the former Atlanta Falcons player regarding the incident.
Following her interaction with the authorities, Humphries took to social media to publicly support and defend Zolciak-Biermann.
“There was no kidnapping. I accompanied KJ, one of Alanna's dearest companions, to the highly anticipated Blairsville annual rodeo,” she stated on Instagram, maintaining that Biermann's accusations were both "defamatory and slanderous."

Furthermore, she added that KJ's mother, Kim, who is both an exceptional mother and a close friend, kindly granted her permission to meet him alongside his two closest companions - one of whom is her own daughter.
The exes have previously accused each other during their divorce proceedings. In recently obtained documents, Biermann claimed that Zolciak-Biermann has been using a significant amount of time and money on gambling and other risky activities. Additionally, he stated that her involvement in online gambling has affected her ability to adequately care for their children.
Zolciak-Biermann took action by filing a motion to have her ex undergo a drug test that month. According to the documents obtained by Us, the reality TV star stated that she had witnessed Biermann using marijuana and had serious concerns about the safety and well-being of their children when they were in his care. She expressed fear that the children would be exposed to his drug use.
The news of the couple's separation gained attention in May when Biermann's divorce filing raised eyebrows. In his filing, he requested both temporary and permanent sole legal and physical custody of their four minor children.
Content revised: Earlier this month, Zolciak-Biermann responded to the contentious custody battle through a statement issued by her lawyer, David Beaudry. The statement expressed concern about the negative impact that Kroy's media portrayal of their divorce could have on their children in the future. It emphasized that spreading falsehoods to depict Kim as an unfit mother for personal gain is not only harmful, but also distorts the reality of her dedication to raising her children.
Biermann expressed his gratitude to his followers on Friday, June 23, through a social media post. He thanked them for their support during the drama and acknowledged their positive messages. Biermann mentioned his desire to personally respond to all the comments but assured his followers that he sees and appreciates each and every one of them. He concluded with a heartfelt message of love for all his supporters.
