Keke Palmer has spent over a decade managing her personal life while being in the spotlight.

"In terms of dating, I've always followed a particular philosophy. It's not that I'm opposed to giving someone a chance. However, I find it simplest to maintain a separation between my private life and my professional life by avoiding dating individuals who share the same career," the actress stated during her interview with Harper's Bazaar in March 2020.

She expressed her ongoing contemplation: "I often find myself pondering if people genuinely appreciate me for who I am. This applies not only to romantic partners but also to friendships. The uncertainty that comes with fame can be incredibly distressing, and if you allow it, it has the potential to significantly impact your self-confidence."

Palmer has previously been in relationships with well-known musicians Quincy Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, and Styn. In February 2023, she became a mother for the first time, welcoming her son Leodis with Darius Jackson.

Rodney King

Palmer had reportedly been in a relationship with King from 2010 to 2013. During an appearance on the radio show Sway In the Morning in October 2012, the former Nickelodeon star addressed the false rumors that she was residing with King in Atlanta. Dismissing the claims, she stated, "That was a ridiculous rumor. They were trying to say that Keke Palmer and her producer boyfriend live together in Atlanta. She has her own place there. But that's not true."

She clarified that both she and King actually lived in California and revealed that they had met through one of her former Jump In! co-stars. The host, Sway Calloway, then asked King about his thoughts on the media attention surrounding their relationship. King responded, "I don't pay attention to it. It's kind of amusing, but I don't appreciate it."

In February 2021, Palmer was seen displaying affection in public with the Dutch rapper in Hollywood. They were captured holding hands and exchanging kisses while enjoying a coffee outing. During an earlier interview with Page Six, Palmer had mentioned spending the holidays with a "special someone," although she did not disclose the identity of her new partner.

In December 2020, she expressed, "Sharing my love life with you is not the same when it becomes public. However, rest assured that your Kekes is always accompanied and never lonely!" Darius Jackson

After reportedly meeting at a party hosted by Issa Rae and Diddy in May 2021, the former couple decided to make their relationship public three months later. During her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live in December 2022, Palmer revealed that she was expecting their child, and two months later, they joyfully welcomed their baby boy.

In July 2023, the duo gained attention for an incident where Jackson publicly criticized Palmer for wearing a tight dress to an Usher concert shortly after giving birth. Jackson posted a now-deleted video of Palmer at the concert, commenting on her outfit and referencing her role as a mom. He temporarily deactivated his social media accounts and removed pictures of Palmer from his profiles.

Despite attempting to reconcile, Palmer confirmed the end of their relationship in November 2023 by filing a restraining order against Jackson. According to court documents reviewed by We, the Nope star accused Jackson of abusing her throughout their two-year relationship. Palmer also requested sole custody of their child, Leodis, alleging that Jackson had been rough with the child earlier that year.

In her November 9 filing, Palmer expressed concern for Leo's safety on September 26, 2023. She stated that Darius became extremely frustrated with Leo while changing his diaper, causing Leo to cry. Palmer intervened to prevent Darius from causing harm to Leo. After engaging in a physical altercation over Leo, Palmer alleged that Jackson struck her on the head before abruptly leaving the room.

Jackson did not publicly respond to the filing, opting instead to post a picture of himself and Leodis on X. In the caption, he expressed his love for his son and mentioned their upcoming meeting. Palmer's temporary restraining order was legally approved the day following her initial filing on November 10, 2023.
