Exclusive: Zoey 101 Star Alexa Nikolas Reveals Surprising Reaction to Britney Spears' Heartfelt Apology amid Jamie Lynn Feud

Alexa Nikolas expressed gratitude to Britney Spears for reportedly offering an apology to her in her forthcoming memoir, The Woman in Me. The former Nickelodeon star, known for her role alongside Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, in Zoey 101, took to social media on Friday, October 20, to share articles detailing how the 41-year-old pop icon addressed their previous conflicts in a passage from her book.

Nikolas, 31, expressed his shock and admiration for Britney Spears in a recent tweet. He revealed that Britney mentioned him in her new book and apologized once again. The actress referred to in Britney's alleged apology is from Jamie Lynn's show. Nikolas praised Britney as an inspiration and thanked her for her kind nature. This is not the first time Britney has publicly made amends with Nikolas over their involvement in her feud with Jamie Lynn, 32. The drama in question gained attention in January 2022 when Jamie Lynn's memoir, "Things I Should Have Said," addressed their troubled relationship on the set of Zoey 101.

According to Jamie Lynn, 32, she was informed that Nikolas had been spreading rumors about her during their time working together. Jamie Lynn brought her concerns to the producers, and subsequently, felt a sense of unease as the gossip took on a more malicious tone. The Sweet Magnolias star recalled hearing stories of Nikolas disparaging her by claiming she had an unpleasant odor, causing her to feel both humiliated and sorrowful.

Jamie Lynn revealed that Britney had come to the set to assist in resolving the conflict at that time. After having a conversation with Nikolas, who portrayed Nicole on Zoey 101, Britney, who was heavily pregnant at the time, managed to put an end to the alleged cruel behavior. (Nikolas departed from the show in 2006.)

In response to Jamie Lynn’s memoir revelations, Nikolas offered her side of the story.

Nikolas expressed his surprise upon witnessing her blatant dishonesty. He believed that their relationship had been repaired after she attempted to exploit him for her own benefit in her Zoey 101 music video, following his revelation about his negative experiences on set and being excluded from the reunion reboot scheme. In a post on Instagram in January 2022, Nikolas stated, "I was pretty surprised to see her lying up a storm in there. I recently thought we were fine after she tried to use me in her Zoey 101 music video to make herself look better after I finally came out about what happened to me while on set/being left out once again during the reunion reboot ploy."

The actress acknowledged that it took Jamie Lynn a considerable amount of time to make contact, mentioning, "I'm guessing the pressure from others made her address the issue. I declined her offer. Why now? But I was happy to get an apology finally. So I forgave her."

Nikolas expressed his complete disinterest in getting involved with whatever is happening with her. He criticized her for using common bullying tactics like playing the victim and gaslighting others while lying. He directly told her not to send him anything and to cease all communication. Additionally, Nikolas wondered why Jamie Lynn never tried to reconcile their relationship.

"She never personally discussed anything mentioned in the book with me, as she is aware that every claim she makes is entirely untrue, and I would have confronted her about it if given the chance. It's disheartening to witness someone remain unchanged after all this time. None of the events she described in her book actually took place," Nikolas stated. In the midst of her own disagreement with Jamie Lynn, Britney later publicly apologized to Nikolas.

"I personally apologize for my previous actions, although at that time, I was unaware of how amazingly talented my family is with their acting abilities! Imagine the scene - me, heavily pregnant and full of hormones, visiting my little sister on the last day of her film shooting, bearing Sprinkles cupcakes. It was a situation where I spoke out without understanding the full truth. My sister, who had been like a daughter to me in our upbringing, was truly the motivation behind my involvement. I now realize my ignorance and lack of knowledge regarding the situation. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any pain I may have caused."

Nikolas took to Instagram to dedicate a post to Britney, expressing her emotions. She thanked Britney for acknowledging her and lending an ear, and also appreciated her apology. Nikolas conveyed her forgiveness towards Britney, expressing both her child self and present self's admiration for Britney's exceptional character.

Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn has not mentioned anything regarding Nikolas' account of their personal conflict. She has also not made any statements about the revelations from Britney's upcoming book, outlining the reasons behind their estrangement.
