Players progressing through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are still plagued by the persistent issue of Joy-Con drift, which proves to be highly frustrating and significantly hampers gameplay. In Tears of the Kingdom, the Rakashog Shrine unveils a distinct puzzle that demands accurate movement and interaction with the Joy-Con, thereby posing considerable challenges for players experiencing Joy-Con drift.
Despite players like DursoBR being able to overcome the issue and successfully complete the shrine, others may encounter similar obstacles and risk missing out on gameplay while awaiting a Joy-Con repair. A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom recently captured a moment that vividly showcases the frustration caused by Joy-Con drift in the Rakashog Shrine. This recurring issue with the Nintendo Switch has affected numerous units since its release, and continues to impact players progressing through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
In their journey through Hyrule, gamers will come across numerous shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While the main map shares similarities with its predecessor, these shrines offer unique puzzles. The first shrine, called the Ukouh Shrine, is located on the Sky Islands and presents minimal challenge. However, one player's experience with Joy-Con drift becomes evident as they progress further into the game. Reddit user DursoBR recently shared a video clip of their gameplay in the Rakashog Shrine. The player attempts to interact with the shrine mechanics as intended by Nintendo, moving from one beam of light to another. However, Joy-Con drift interferes, causing Link to veer off to the side and halt the player's progress in solving the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom puzzle. The hexagonal switch on the wall only partially lights up before the erroneous direction of the beam of light due to Joy-Con drift leads to an extended pause before completing the shrine.
The Rakashog Shrine, located in the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago region on Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Hyrule map, challenges players to utilize mirrors and special items to reflect light and progress through each room. Despite facing Joy-Con drift, DursoBR skillfully guides Link to conquer the Rakashog Shrine. However, there is a possibility that future puzzles may prove unsolvable due to the persisting Joy-Con drift issue. As many Switch owners are affected by this problem, DursoBR is not the only Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player who may encounter this impediment in their gameplay. While Nintendo may address faulty Joy-Cons, the dedicated Tears of the Kingdom fan may experience gameplay interruptions while awaiting repairs.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
