Scheduled for September 24, 2023, the concert will be held in Tokyo, offering tickets priced at around $68. Additionally, fans can anticipate the development of the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Konami has confirmed that Cynthia Harrell, the vocalist known for her iconic theme song in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, will be featured in an upcoming concert event. The Metal Gear franchise has experienced a resurgence in 2023, with Konami announcing a remastered collection of the entire franchise and a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. To celebrate the newfound support for the series, Metal Gear in Concert 2023 will be held, marking the first concert dedicated to the series in three years. The event will also include live performances by Donna Burke and Cynthia Harrell, both well-known vocalists from the franchise.

Donna Burke and Cynthia Harrell are highly associated with the Metal Gear franchise due to their previous performances of theme songs. Donna Burke has sung "Heavens Divide" and "Sins of the Father" for Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain, as well as contributed to remixes of previous themes. Meanwhile, Cynthia Harrell is the singer behind the iconic Snake Eater theme, which plays after the game's opening act. She is also known for her rendition of "I Am the Wind," the ending theme of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Although she retired as a professional singer in 2019, she will be making a special appearance at this event.

The concert is an homage to the Metal Gear franchise and will feature a full-sized orchestra performing songs from the first Metal Gear Solid game on PlayStation 1 to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Burke has been a regular participant in the concert since it began in 2017. However, this will be Harrell's first time performing the live rendition of "Snake Eater." The event will also include a video showcasing memorable moments from the series paired with the corresponding songs.

Currently, the concert is scheduled to take place in Shibuya, Tokyo, exclusively in Japan, on September 24, 2023. Tickets for the event cost 9900 yen (approximately $68 USD), with pre-sale tickets available for purchase until August 20, 2023. While attending the concert may require additional expenses for Western fans, the opportunity to experience the original singer performing the iconic Snake Eater theme song live may be deemed well worth it for some, considering her absence from the public eye in recent years.

Konami is currently working on the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake, enlisting the efforts of both its own internal development team and Virtuos. Virtuos, having experience with game ports such as Final Fantasy 10 and contribution to the PS5-exclusive Demon's Souls remake, is contributing to the project. The remake aims to retain the original game's story and expansive environments while enhancing the graphical fidelity.
