During today's Xbox Partner Preview, Konami unveiled a trailer for its upcoming stealth game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, utilizing the powerful Unreal Engine 5. Despite its brief duration of under two minutes, the trailer showcased various elements familiar to fans of the series. In classic Snake Eater style, viewers were treated to glimpses of Naked Snake navigating lush jungles and treacherous swamps, confronting enemy soldiers while evading the local wildlife. As the trailer progressed, it unveiled additional scenes of significant narrative moments, including the Virtuous mission, the Dremuchij area Bridge leading up to Rassvet, and the subterranean water area where The Pain battle takes place.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was initially unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase earlier this year. The first launch trailer provided limited insight into the gameplay mechanics. Konami states that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid remake will offer "unprecedented new graphics, immersive stealth action gameplay, and captivating sounds" as players once again immerse themselves in the Metal Gear universe. The development team consists of individuals who have previously worked on the Metal Gear series, collaborating with Virtuos, a studio closely associated with the franchise.
The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has yet to be announced. However, Konami has confirmed that the game will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
