Exclusive: Joshua Jackson Spotted With Lupita Nyong'o Amidst Jodie Turner-Smith's Candid Thoughts on Healing

After Joshua Jackson was spotted with Lupita Nyong'o on October 18, Jodie Turner-Smith, who recently filed for divorce from Jackson, shared some wise words about the actions of others on her Instagram Story the next day.

"An individual who is still wounded can take offense in almost anything another person does. In contrast, someone who has healed recognizes that the actions of others are completely unrelated to them," the upload stated. "Every day, you have the power to choose which type of person you will be."

This is not the initial instance that Turner-Smith has relayed a message regarding healing following the publicized news of her and Jackson's separation. On Tuesday, October 17, she shared a reposted quote that stated, "All things, including people, heal and flourish when they are given love."

Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson in 2019, just a year after their wedding, stating "irreconcilable differences" as the reason. She is now seeking joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter. Although they have not spoken publicly about their separation, a source revealed that Jackson was taken by surprise when Turner-Smith filed for divorce.

"They encountered typical challenges that many couples face, particularly when both individuals are busy actors and raising a child. Joshua was evidently unaware of the extent of Jodie's unhappiness and the severity of their problems," the insider disclosed. "Their friends are perplexed and attempting to comprehend the catalyst behind this situation."

Following that, another insider informed Us that the actress opted to terminate her marriage because "she refused to accept anything that didn't align with her true feelings."

Turner-Smith appears to be prioritizing personal development following the breakup based on her recent social media activity, while Jackson, along with Nyong'o and other friends, enjoyed attending a Janelle Monae concert in Inglewood, California on Wednesday. Coincidentally, Nyong'o revealed the day after that she is also currently experiencing a breakup.

“At this time, I feel compelled to disclose a personal truth and publicly distance myself from an individual whom I can no longer rely upon. Sharing this heartfelt message, I am currently grappling with a deep sense of sorrow due to a love that has abruptly and severely vanished as a result of deceit.”

Nyong’o added that she is “choosing to face the pain” despite being “tempted to run into the shadows and hide.”

The candid post confirmed her split from television host Selema Masekela, whom she went public with in December 2022.
