Dancing With the Stars is following in the footsteps of the NFL.
Following her performance with partner Barry Williams on Tuesday, October 3, professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd revealed exciting news about an upcoming theme night dedicated to Taylor Swift's music. "We're going to have a Taylor Swift week," she disclosed to Billboard. "Can I even say that?"
The 37-year-old professional dancer did not provide any further details about what viewers can expect. However, fellow pro Artem Chigvintsev hinted at the Swift-inspired event on the "Nikki & Brie Show" podcast. During the episode, Chigvintsev's wife, Nikki Garcia, directly asked his partner Charity Lawson if she was excited about the big event.
"I wanted to know, Charity, if you are excited for Taylor Swift, as this is another night I am excited for. Are you a Swiftie?" Garcia, 39, inquired. Lawson, 27, replied, "I'm not a huge fan, but I do love her. So yeah, I am super excited about that."
The former Bachelorette mentioned that she had "requested" a song by Swift, 33, for the debut week of season 32. However, she was informed by the producers that she was not allowed to do so. Chigvinstev, 41, began to respond with "Maybe they refused because..." but he left his thought unfinished.
Swift has made a triumphant comeback, coming back stronger than ever with several album releases, re-recordings, and even making appearances at NFL games to show support for potential love interest Travis Kelce. In addition to that, the singer has an incredibly busy schedule filled with tour dates for her Eras concert. This concert showcases all of her hit songs from each album she has released throughout her career. After completing the first leg of her tour in August, Swift will be heading to Argentina and Brazil in November, with plans to continue her international tour dates in 2024.
The Eras Tour garnered widespread attention due to its immense ticket demand. During the chaotic November 2022 incident, countless individuals were left disappointed when their Verified Fan codes failed to grant them access to ticket sales. On the other hand, some managed to successfully procure tickets, only to be unexpectedly ejected from the checkout process before finalizing their purchase.
Taylor Swift took to Instagram to address the ticket controversy, expressing her deep concern for her devoted fans. Having worked side by side with them for many years, she reiterated her commitment to providing the best possible experience by overseeing every aspect of her career in-house, surrounded by a dedicated team who share her passion for fan satisfaction.
She expressed her distress at witnessing fans unable to secure tickets, describing it as "excruciating."
"I won't defend anyone because we explicitly asked them, on multiple occasions, if they were equipped to meet this level of demand and they assured us they were. It's truly incredible that 2.4 million people managed to get tickets, but what angers me is that many of them endured numerous hardships akin to bear attacks just to acquire them," she added. "All I can say is that I hope to create more opportunities for all of us to come together and sing these songs. Thank you for wanting to be a part of it. You have no idea how much that means."
The tour achieved tremendous success and has even led to the production of a film.
In August, Swift shared her excitement about her latest project, the Eras Tour, via Instagram. She expressed that it has been the most significant and electrifying experience of her life so far. The good news is that this memorable tour will soon grace the big screen. Starting from October 13th, audiences in North America can experience the concert film in theaters. Tickets are currently available for purchase at amctheatres.com. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Eras attire, wear friendship bracelets, and join in the singing and dancing. Let's come together and make it an unforgettable experience! 1, 2, 3... LGB! (iykyk)
