From Fertility Struggles to 39 Weeks: Peta Murgatroyd's Pregnancy Journey

Peta Murgatroyd, the renowned dancer from Dancing With the Stars, is about to welcome her second child into the world after years of fertility struggles. Despite the challenges, she remained hopeful and prayed for a miracle every day for two and a half years. She recently shared footage of her journey on Instagram, acknowledging that it was not a pretty one but it was hers. Through her struggles, Peta has become a changed woman and is grateful for the experiences that have made her a better person. Today, she is happy and content and appreciates everything in her life.

"I never imagined that I would reach this day at 39 weeks pregnant. I was infatuated with the idea of having another child, thinking that it would complete me and make me feel whole. However, I came to the realization that I am already whole, and that my beautiful and loving family is all that I truly need."

Upon discovering her pregnancy, the New Zealand-born dancer revealed to Us Weekly in March that she was more apprehensive than ecstatic. "It wasn't like I was jumping up out of the bathroom, like, 'Oh, my God, I can't wait to [tell everyone].' It was almost like I was scared," she confessed. "It was a positively scary moment for me because it wasn't something that I was sure of. It wasn't something that I knew would last. I definitely wanted to, just sort of, hide my emotions a little bit and just kind of put a protective shield around myself to not let myself get too excited before this [turned] into something real." With the due date fast approaching, Murgatroyd expressed her gratitude for the blessing of a second son, stating that she is "forever wrapped up in gratitude."

"You have been my guiding light and my greatest source of joy throughout all of this," she expressed in her post on social media, introducing her firstborn. "Returning home to you with upsetting news only lifted my spirits higher and made me want to be an even better mother to you. You are my everything, and when your little brother arrives, my biggest dream will come true as I watch you hold him and gaze into his eyes." Chmerkovskiy, 43, who tied the knot with Murgatroyd in 2017, is equally thrilled to welcome their second child.

According to the founder of Dance With Me, the Chmerkovskiy family is currently experiencing a renaissance, especially after Val Chmerkovskiy welcomed his first child with wife Jenna Johnson. The founder expressed excitement for the next generation and Maksim, who will have a six-year age difference between his children and Val's, pointed out the similarities between their experiences as Capricorns and the touching comparison between a picture of himself holding Val as a newborn and a picture of his own six-year-old son holding Val's newborn son.
