Britney Spears’ sons and their dad, Kevin Federline, are safe from the Hawaii fires that have taken the lives of 55 people, according to multiple reports.

On Tuesday, August 8, a sudden and unexpected wildfire broke out in Maui, caused by a combination of a dry summer and strong hurricane winds. The flames spread rapidly, catching residents off guard and resulting in the destruction of homes. Many people were forced to evacuate in order to escape the fire's reach.

Back in May, Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, made an announcement regarding his client's plans to relocate to Hawaii. Federline, who has five children including two sons with Spears, sought permission from Spears for their minor children to move to the Aloha state. Kaplan wrote a letter to TMZ seeking Spears' consent, as Federline also has children from previous relationships and his current marriage with Victoria Prince.

Spear's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, responded on her behalf several weeks later. In a public letter shared with us, the lawyer disclosed that Spears had agreed to the relocation and would not obstruct Federline's change of residence.

According to an exclusive source, "Britney has always hoped to reconcile with her children. However, she hasn't seen them in quite some time and is uncertain about when she will have the opportunity to see them again now that they are moving to Hawaii."

According to a source, Spears frequently travels to Hawaii, but they mention that the upcoming situation will not be as familiar. The source also mentioned that she will not be able to see her sons before they depart with their father this week, but she hopes to arrange future plans with them.

Spears and Federline married in 2004 but divorced two years later. Despite the split, Spears still co-parented their sons. However, her relationship with both boys became strained.

In September 2022, Jayden spoke to the Daily Mail about his feelings towards his mother. He expressed concern that she struggled to give them both equal attention and love, particularly feeling that Preston did not receive enough. Jayden empathized with his brother, acknowledging the pressure they had both experienced in the past. He saw their current situation as a safe space to address and heal from the emotional trauma they had endured. Jayden also mentioned that if he expressed any complaints, his mother tended to target his brother. Due to guilt, Jayden made it a point to support his brother, feeling that his mother treated him better.

Following Jayden's statement, Spears expressed her perspective on his accusations through a social media post. In an Instagram statement, she asserted, "I have put in my utmost effort to be the best version of myself... Only to feel like a captive in my own home, surrounded by nurses and nonsense. I genuinely hope that one day, my children will comprehend the reasons behind my actions, as any woman would when feeling restricted and monitored under the conservatorship!"

She continued, "I want my son Jayden to know that I shower him with love every day for the rest of my life! There are no limits to my love for my children, and it truly breaks my heart that he feels I haven't lived up to his expectations as a mother. I hope that one day we can meet in person and have an open conversation about this."
