Emily Blunt Reveals Adorable Bond with ‘Oppenheimer’ Co-Star Matt Damon, Unveiling Her Daughters’ Unwavering Affection for His Kids

Oppenheimer co-stars, Emily Blunt and Matt Damon, have fostered a strong bond between their children, who genuinely adore each other.

"Our kids spend a lot of time together," revealed Blunt, 40, during an interview with E! News on Tuesday, July 11. "Matt's children, being older than mine, display immense patience and sweetness towards our little ones."

The English actress, who is married to John Krasinski and has two daughters, Hazel (9) and Violet (7), told Damon (52) that his daughters get along well with them. Damon, on the other hand, has three daughters (Isabella, 17; Gia, 14; Stella, 12) and a stepdaughter (Alexia, 24) with his wife Luciana Barroso. The actor, who married Barroso in 2005, also proudly mentioned how well his children bond with Blunt's daughters.

He expressed that his youngest child enjoys taking care of [Emily's] two children as it allows her to experience being the oldest. He mentioned that she rarely gets such an opportunity, so it is enjoyable for her.

Blunt also added that their daughters greatly admire Matt's kids.

Earlier in the week, the star of Mary Poppins shared insights into the bond she shares with Damon, both on and off the screen. During an episode of the "Table for Two" podcast on Monday, July 10, she disclosed that Damon happens to be her neighbor in New York City.

One amusing aspect is that Matt Damon is frequently seen wearing slippers and rarely seen in regular shoes, as he is seemingly always in his comfortable footwear. This is likely due to the fact that we live in close proximity to each other and often make impromptu visits, which has created a wonderful bond amongst us all.

Blunt jokingly mentioned that Damon is a laid-back and wonderful person, but she believes his wife is even more beautiful. The actress from Jungle Cruise shared how their friendship formed and how both families ended up living in the same building in Brooklyn. Blunt and her husband, Krasinski, have been married since 2010. She elaborated on the bond they share, including Sunday night dinners where their children have developed a strong affection for each other.

Blunt only had praise for Damon and his team, but she admitted that her busy schedule in the past year has caused her to be away from her daughters more than she would have liked.

"This year, I won't be working. I had a lot of work last year, and my oldest child is turning nine, so we're in the final year of single digits," Blunt revealed during the podcast. "There are essential moments in their day that are so crucial when they're young. It's asking, 'Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed?' I just need to be there for all of them for a significant duration. It's a feeling deep within me."
