Dua Lipa Establishes a Bold Fashion Trend by Pairing Red Hair with Matching Shoes

Have you ever considered matching your hair with your shoes, instead of just your purse? Well, Dua Lipa certainly did at a cocktail reception in Los Angeles on Friday, October 27. The 28-year-old singer, known for her hit "New Rules," rocked a stylish Gucci black leather dress with a collar and front buttons. What caught everyone's attention, though, were her slingbacks, which flawlessly complemented her newly dyed fiery red hair. These shoes are a part of Gucci's spring 2024 collection.

Adding a touch of glam, she let her wavy hair flow freely, swept to one side. Accentuating her eyes, she elegantly lined them with a rim of black kohl eyeliner, complemented by a rich swipe of burgundy lipstick.

Opting for a minimalist approach, Lipa adorned herself with understated jewelry, sporting a delicate set of silver rings and a bold chunky silver bracelet.

Lipa's impeccable style moments have us taking notes, although matching your hair with your shoes may seem outlandish. The event was a tribute to Barbie director Greta Gerwig, where Lipa portrayed "Mermaid Barbie" and debuted her hit song "Dance the Night" in the unforgettable dancing scene with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Other famous individuals who graced the occasion were singer Billie Eilish, musician and DJ Mark Ronson, and Noah Baumbach, Gerwig's longtime partner.

Lipa made her initial appearance with red hair in an Instagram post on October 12, accompanied by the caption "Miss me?" However, the post, along with every other photo on her Instagram page, has since been removed. Currently, the only content visible on Lipa's Instagram is a video uploaded on Sunday, October 29. In the video, she can be seen holding a small gold key pendant in her mouth, while the caption states, "I'm not here for long".

Lipa's enigmatic posting patterns have sparked fan speculation, hinting at a forthcoming album rumored to drop in 2024. With her vibrant new red locks, Lipa not only signals a fresh era in music but also ventures into the realm of cinema.

Lipa's involvement in the movie Barbie marked her debut in a feature film, but it definitely won't be her final one. Another upcoming project she's part of is Argylle, an espionage film scheduled for release in February 2024. This star-studded movie also includes Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Sam Rockwell.
