In the upcoming spy movie Argylle, Dua Lipa is transforming from Mermaid Barbie to a femme fatale. Lipa will be joining Henry Cavill in Matthew Vaughn's follow-up to the Kingsman film series, portraying the character of Agent Argylle. Argylle is the title character from author Elly Conway's spy book series, portrayed by Bryce Dallas Howard. When Conway's latest book accidentally predicts the events of actual spies, she must join forces with a secret agent played by Sam Rockwell in order to evade vicious villains.
In a statement made in July 2021 regarding the film, Vaughn expressed that upon reading the early draft manuscript, he believed it to be the most remarkable and unique spy franchise since Ian Fleming's books from the 1950s. He confidently stated that this film will revolutionize the spy genre.
Marv Studios, Vaughn's production company, unveiled the first sneak peek of the film in March 2022, showcasing glimpses of Cavill, Lipa, and their co-star Ariana DeBose. One year later, an official trailer was released.

Has an ‘Argylle’ Trailer Been Released?
The trailer for the movie was officially released in September 2023. Accompanied by David Bowie's "Let's Dance" and Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds," the preview provided glimpses of high-stakes action scenes. One scene depicted Cena pulling Lipa's character off a motorcycle, while another showed Howard and Rockwell's characters leaping off a building with her adorable pet cat.
Is ‘Argylle’ Based on a Book?
Scheduled for release on April 1, 2024, there is a forthcoming novel titled "Untitled" that has garnered intrigue due to the enigmatic nature surrounding its authorship. It remains uncertain whether Conway, the presumed author, is an actual individual or merely an invented persona created by Howard.
According to the website of Penguin Books U.K., Conway is the writer of the highly anticipated first thriller novel, Argylle. Residing in the United States, she is presently engaged in crafting the next chapter of the series.
