Genshin Impact fan creates impressive outfit concept for Aether, featuring regional designs that fans are praising for their attention to detail.
Players have been expressing their desire for unique skins corresponding to each of the game's prominent regions, highlighting their immersion in the central narrative.
While there is ongoing debate among fans regarding the source of inspiration for the latest outfit, the majority is inclined towards associating it with the Anemo nation, owing to the distinct resemblance it bears to Venti's color scheme.
A Genshin Impact enthusiast has created a remarkable outfit concept for Aether, one of the game's main characters. Developer HoYoverse typically releases four new skins each year, two for five-star characters and two for four-star characters. The outfits for the lower-rarity characters are often available for free during one update.
In the beginning of the Genshin Impact journey, the siblings Aether and Lumine are engaged in a battle against the Unknown God, also known as the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles. In a cutscene, players are required to choose between these two characters to be their Traveler, whose main objective is to locate their lost sibling.
A Reddit user named pinnko shared an impressive skin concept for the game's male Traveler, Aether. The concept includes four skins representing the major regions of the game: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru. The post received nearly 1k upvotes on Genshin Impact's main subreddit, with many comments praising the attention to detail. Among the skins, the second one inspired by the Inazuma region seems to stand out. It closely resembles the traditional outfits found in that area and even features the Mask of Memories, a reward from the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual. However, there is some debate among fans regarding the last outfit, as it is unclear if it is based on Mondstadt or the recently released Fontaine region. The majority believes that the outfit's color theme, reminiscent of Venti, suggests it belongs to the Anemo nation.
Players have long been requesting HoYoverse to release region-specific skins that would correspond to each of the seven major regions. The main storyline of Genshin Impact is captivating, and having Aether or Lumine don different outfits during Archon Quest cutscenes would enhance the immersive experience.
Numerous comments state that, apart from the initial weeks of gameplay, players hardly ever use the Traveler in their team compositions. Despite Aether and Lumine being classified as five-star characters, their on-field capabilities cannot compete with the majority of the current meta characters in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
