Destiny 2 Fireteam Finder Open Beta: Unleashing New Possibilities

Bungie invites you to be a vital part of Destiny 2's evolution as they launch an open beta for the highly anticipated Fireteam Finder feature Join forces with fellow Guardians and venture into the unknown, testing this game-changing addition to the Destiny 2 universe

Bungie has announced that it will be opening the beta for its upcoming Fireteam Finder tool for Destiny 2 to all players in order to stress test the new feature. This is in an effort to make the tool launch-ready faster. In a new dev blog, Bungie outlined its plans and goals for the beta, aiming to deliver a top-notch Fireteam Finder for all activities by The Final Shape, through a series of testing phases. The company also expressed its intention to be flexible during the testing phase, making adjustments based on new information or issues that arise.

The initial open beta event is a stress test targeting raids, scheduled for November 30. Bungie aims to conduct the test from 9 AM to 5 PM PST, with the possibility of an early end if needed, to stay agile. The success of the stress test will determine the launch date for the full open beta, with Bungie aiming for a December beta in preparation for a full launch in January.

Players interested in taking part in the stress test on November 30 can access it from the Director using the Roster tab, or through the Fireteam Finder access point on the activity's launch screen. The stress test will utilize a simplified version of the Fireteam Finder AI, with Bungie planning to incorporate more features for the beta and the final launch. Additionally, Bungie announced that it is working on an out-of-game version of Fireteam Finder that will replace the current group finding systems on the Destiny 2 website and companion app. Although this feature won't be available during the beta period, Bungie aims to eventually fully integrate it with the in-game system.

The upcoming season in Destiny 2 is called the Season of the Wish and is set to begin on November 28th after the weekly reset. Players can look forward to an enhanced version of Dragon's Breath and cosmetic items inspired by The Witcher.

Editor's P/S

As an enthusiastic fan of Destiny 2, I am thrilled about the launch of the open beta for the highly anticipated Fireteam Finder feature. This game-changing addition to the Destiny 2 universe has the potential to revolutionize the way players interact and team up. The ability to easily find and join forces with fellow Guardians will open up new possibilities for exploration, teamwork, and strategy.

I am particularly excited about the stress test scheduled for November 30th, which will allow players to put the Fireteam Finder tool to the test in a raid environment. This will be an excellent opportunity to provide feedback and help Bungie identify any issues or areas for improvement. I am confident that the Fireteam Finder tool will be a valuable asset to the Destiny 2 community, and I can't wait to see how it evolves and improves over time.
