Demi Lovato is engaged to her boyfriend, Jordan Lutes, after more than a year together, We can confirm.
Lutes, 26, popped the question to Lovato, 31, on Saturday, December 16, in a private and intimate setting, presenting her with a pear-shaped diamond solitaire ring from Material Good. People was the first to share the news.
In August 2022, Us exclusively revealed that the singer was in a "healthy relationship" and "really happy" with a musician. Shortly after, Lovato was romantically linked to Lutes when they were seen holding hands and displaying affection during a dinner date in New York City.
Lovato and Lutes, also known as Jute$, publicly confirmed their relationship during her 30th birthday celebration in August 2022. "Bday bitch [with] her love," she captioned a cozy Instagram Story photo of the couple.
Lutes later posted a heartfelt tribute to Lovato on her special day. "Happy birthday baby. [You're] a 30-year-old minx and I’m the luckiest schmuck in the world cuz I get to call [you] mine," he wrote on Instagram. "Making [you] laugh has become my new obsession cuz [your] smile literally cures my depression. … I'm so proud of [you] for not only surviving everything you've been through, but coming out on top and becoming [your] healthiest, happiest, sweetest self."
He added: "You mean more to me than your music, more than your voice, more than a beautiful face. You are everything. I love you."
In her response, Lovato praised Lutes. "You are the best boyfriend in the world," she commented. "I am so grateful to call you mine because I have never laughed like this, I have never smiled so much, and my heart is constantly so full of love for you."
As their bond deepened, a source revealed to Us that Lovato was being cautious in her relationship with Lutes. "Demi is drawn to Jute$'s sense of humor, she is truly captivated by his personality and they have a great time together," the insider shared in September 2022. "They were introduced by mutual friends and are taking things slow, especially because Demi's previous relationship ended in such a tragic way. Demi really likes Jute$ but has been hurt before, so she's being careful in getting to know him."

Demi Lovato was previously in an engagement with Max Ehrich, but they broke up in September 2020, just two months after he proposed. In her March 2021 documentary, Dancing With the Devil, Lovato revealed that she didn't truly know Ehrich during their relationship.
Prior to her failed engagement to Ehrich, Lovato dated Wilmer Valderrama from 2010 to 2016.
