Demi Lovato is bringing some holiday spirit with A Very Demi Holiday – and she's got a star-studded cast of "elves" by her side. The Roku Channel event will air on Friday, December 8 and will feature appearances by Tiffany Haddish, JoJo, Hailey Bieber, Paris Hilton, and Trixie Mattel.
Additional guests are set to be revealed leading up to the premiere. The special will celebrate festive events from the past, with Lovato singing timeless tunes such as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," and "Jingle Bell Rock." Lovato will also showcase her own popular hits, as she did at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, during the OBB Pictures-produced special.
"In a statement released by Roku when they first announced the special, Lovato expressed her excitement for putting her unique touch on the holiday celebrations, saying, "The holidays are such a special time of year, and I can’t wait to put my special twist on the celebrations!"
Brian Tannenbaum, head of originals at Roku Media, expressed his excitement for the upcoming one-of-a-kind Roku Original special created by Lovato and OBB Pictures. Tannenbaum described the holiday experience as "truly fun and unique," and is looking forward to audiences connecting and laughing over it when it airs.
To close out a busy year, Lovato will be performing at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas to ring in 2024. Lovato ended her professional relationship with Scooter Braun in August, after he had been her manager since 2019. This departure from Braun came after Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber also parted ways with him. Although Braun disputed these reports and sources confirmed that his SB Projects was still collaborating with Bieber and Grande.
In September, Lovato followed up on the creative direction of her 2022 album "Holy Fvck" by releasing "Revamped," an album that transformed her past pop songs into a metal/rock style. Featured appearances from rock heavyweights Slash of Guns ‘N Roses, Bert McCracken from The Used, and guitar goddess Nita Strauss brought a new edge to songs like “La La Land,” “Confident,” “Sorry Not Sorry,” and “Cool for the Summer," reimagined with spikes and leather.
