Demi Lovato is looking forward to being a bride.
The singer took to Instagram over the weekend to share the news that she is engaged to songwriter Jordan Lutes.
"Last night was truly unforgettable, the best night of my life. I am thrilled at the thought of marrying the love of my life, @jutesmusic. Every day spent with you has been a dream come true and I cannot wait to love and cherish you forever. Here's to the rest of our lives. I love you, baby," Lovato wrote, along with a picture showcasing her wearing a stunning pear-shaped diamond ring.
The couple got engaged last Saturday. After the announcement, many of Lovato's well-known friends shared their excitement, including Selma Blair who wrote, "I am thrilled for both of you! JutesMusic is incredibly fortunate to have you. May your love continue to blossom boundlessly. I adore you and am overjoyed for you. Wonderful news."
Lutes collaborated with Lovato on the song "Substance" and also co-wrote "Happy Ending" and "City of Angels" with him. In August, Lutes took to Instagram to wish Lovato a happy birthday, expressing that Lovato is his "best friend."
"Happy birthday to my amazing best friend. You are obviously the most beautiful and talented person ever. But more importantly, you're wonderfully weird and always make me laugh until I cry."
