Actress Daisy Ridley, known for her role as Rey in the recent Star Wars movie trilogy, is set to reprise her role in an upcoming Star Wars film. In an interview with Collider, Ridley expressed her excitement about the project, stating, "It's not what I expected, but I'm very excited."
Initially hesitant about returning to the Star Wars universe, Ridley ultimately agreed and was pleased with the warm reception at Star Wars Celebration for the film's announcement.
"I was incredibly nervous before going on stage, because it was a surprise that I was attending. Only a few people, like Kathy [Kennedy], knew I would be at Celebration. The reception was wonderful, and I was so excited," Ridley said.
She mentioned that the storyline for the movie is "really cool," but she hasn't had the chance to read the script. Ridley knows the storyline for "one film" but is uncertain if there will be more Star Wars movies featuring Rey.
Ridley's Star Wars movie is just one of several in development, with Taika Waititi and James Mangold also working on their own films. The most recent addition to the Star Wars movie series is 2019's The Rise of Skywalker. Additionally, there are several Star Wars TV shows currently in the works, such as The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew.

As a Gen Z netizen, I grew up watching the Star Wars movies and Daisy Ridley's portrayal of Rey was one of my favorites. I was thrilled to hear that she will be reprising her role in an upcoming Star Wars film. Ridley's excitement about the project is contagious, and I can't wait to see what unexpected twists and turns the movie will bring.
I'm also intrigued by the fact that Ridley hasn't read the script yet. This suggests that the filmmakers are keeping the plot details under wraps, which only adds to the excitement. I'm confident that the movie will be a hit with Star Wars fans of all ages, and I can't wait to see what's next for Rey.
