A fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom showcases their impressive homemade wooden case for the game, featuring a remarkable engraving on the front. This unique and creative box serves as a stylish storage solution for their collection of Switch cartridges. Following Nintendo's release of the latest The Legend of Zelda game in May, which garnered widespread praise from both critics and players, many fans have taken to expressing their devotion in various creative forms. Last week, one fan delighted fellow enthusiasts by sharing an adorable crochet Tears of the Kingdom doll. Meanwhile, other players have discovered unconventional yet clever methods to exhibit their admiration.
Reddit user FrigginBoomT is an avid fan of Tears of the Kingdom and has proven their dedication through a unique wooden Switch cartridge case. Combining their wood carving skills with their passion, they have crafted a case that showcases a beautiful engraving of the Hyrule Royal Crest on the front cover. This crest incorporates the iconic Triforce and holds significance within the series. When the lid is opened, two spaces for Nintendo Switch game cartridges are revealed. Both the cover and interior are intentionally marked with simulated wear and tears, aligning with the post-post-apocalyptic version of Hyrule portrayed in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
It comes as no surprise that this is not FrigginBoomT's first venture into woodworking. In fact, they have previously designed another case for Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild a few months ago, showcasing their creativity and commitment. This previous case shares a similar overall design, but the front cover features the rusty Master Sword and a partly overgrown letter Z from the Breath of the Wild logo. Additionally, FrigginBoomT has also created boxes for Pokemon and Magic the Gathering cards, further displaying their craftsmanship and versatility.
FrigginBoomT's latest project, inspired by the game, received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans of The Legend of Zelda. Currently, the top-rated comment humorously suggests that the case would serve as an excellent hiding place for one of Tears of the Kingdom's elusive Koroks, the mischievous forest spirits that proved challenging to locate in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Additionally, another commenter speculates that the empty second compartment of the box could symbolize the anticipation for a potential sequel. Although direct sequels are uncommon in The Legend of Zelda, they are not entirely out of the question. Regardless, if Tears of the Kingdom were to have a sequel, FrigginBoomT would undoubtedly have a convenient storage space for it.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
