Nick Cannon's Unfiltered Confessions: A Father's Journey with 11 Kids

Nick Cannon, the comedian, has become equally recognized for his extensive offspring as he has for his professional accomplishments. In a candid conversation on Dr. Laura Berman's "The Language of Love" podcast, the 42-year-old opened up about the difficulties of managing such a demanding lifestyle. Acknowledging the limitations of time, Cannon admitted to the ongoing struggle of trying to be omnipresent, even though he is aware of its impossibility. Despite this, he remains committed to ensuring his presence is felt every single day.

Cannon is a father to a large and diverse brood. He shares his 13-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. He also has two sons, Golden Sagon (6 years old) and Rise Messiah (9 months old), as well as a daughter, Powerful Queen (2 years old), with Brittany Bell. Additionally, he has twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir (both 2 years old), and a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin (7 months old), with Abby De La Rosa. Furthermore, he has a daughter named Onyx Ice (9 months old) with LaNisha Cole, a son named Legendary Love (11 months old) with Bre Tiesi, and a daughter named Halo Marie (6 months old) with Alyssa Scott. It is important to note that Cannon and Scott experienced the tragic loss of their first child, son Zen, who passed away from a brain tumor at the age of 5 months in December 2021.

Cannon reflected on a recent occurrence during the interview, describing a situation in which two of his children fell ill simultaneously. He admitted that while he was present physically, he questioned whether he provided the emotional support that the mother required.

After the other child became sick, Cannon felt compelled to assist with the situation, causing tension between him and the first mother. "Due to past trauma and triggers related to my absence, it may have seemed like I wasn't prioritizing," he acknowledged. "I make mistakes all the time! And my mistakes usually stem from negligence or simply being foolish. Sometimes I fail to fulfill my promises, forget to make a call, or arrive late."

Cannon clarified the events of last month when he unintentionally confused Mother's Day cards intended for his children's mothers. He emphasized that there was no intention of manipulation or spite, but rather, it was a genuine mistake.

When he first disclosed the incident in May, Cannon expressed that he had written personalized cards to each of the mothers of his children as he believed it would hold more significance than sending generic cards. "I genuinely gave it my all," he shared on an episode of his radio show, The Daily Cannon. "But when one mother reads a card about how I feel towards another mother, you see, if I had just gotten some generic stuff that everyone else received, that wouldn't have happened!"

Cannon chose not to disclose the identities of the women he is currently involved with romantically during the podcast. However, he did make it clear that he and Carey are solely co-parents since their divorce in 2016. Cannon mentioned that he is open to spending time with anyone who wants to hang out with him, but some of the women are independent and have their own lives, not relying on him to make their partnerships work.
