Jimmie Allen recently talked openly about the impact of his sexual assault scandal. During an interview on his YouTube channel, the 38-year-old singer sat down with Kathie Lee Gifford to discuss how the lawsuits affected both his career and personal life.
The country singer shared that he felt like the whole world had collapsed, not thinking about his career but rather how he would provide for his kids. He recalled sitting in a hotel room and realizing his life insurance covered suicide.
In the midst of feeling like he had nothing, Allen expressed his thoughts on living in a society where one is seen as guilty until proven innocent. He mentioned the impact of accusations, referring to his own experience of being accused of sexual assault by his ex-manager in May 2023. Another woman filed a separate sexual assault lawsuit against him a month later.
Allen shared with Gifford, 70, that he transferred all his evidence, photos, text messages, videos, and more to one phone. He recalled loading bullets into his gun clip at that time.
After getting a text message from a friend advising against ending his life, Allen decided to pause. He reached out to a friend in lower Delaware, who came over to take his gun. Allen's mother also arrived, and he received supportive calls from various artists who expressed their love and concern for him.
Allen expressed his gratitude for the messages of support he received from some of the biggest actors in Hollywood. However, he also shared that he felt hurt by the silence of some individuals he had expected to hear from during his difficult period.

Jimmie Allen opened up about his struggles, revealing that he went to a retreat and sought therapy. He shared that he battled with thoughts of wanting to live or not every single day. He also mentioned feeling guilty about the financial impact his actions would have on his family, but he realized that was not the solution.
Allen shared that taking a break from the spotlight was something he needed, mentioning that it helped save his life. He mentioned, "I am healing and growing for me and my children."
In May, Allen's former manager accused him of rape, sexual assault, and harassment on multiple occasions. Allen denied the accusations, stating that it was a consensual "sexual relationship." Another woman came forward in June 2023, claiming that Allen had recorded himself sexually assaulting her in a Las Vegas hotel room a year earlier. Allen denied the allegations and countersued, asserting that the woman had willingly joined him in his hotel room. (Recently, Allen's ex-manager dropped her lawsuit against him.)
During his marriage to his wife, Alexis Gale, alleged relationships took place. In August 2023, the couple announced their split but also shared that they were expecting their third child. Just a month after the birth of their son Cohen in September 2023, a representative for Allen confirmed that they had reconciled and were working things out together.
In June 2023, amidst the scandal, Allen was dropped by his record label, BBR Music Group. Recently, the musician also disclosed that he had welcomed twins with another woman before getting back together with Gale, who is 28 years old.
I have 6 kids and I love each one of them. I won't let anyone make me feel ashamed of my children. The only opinion that matters to me is theirs. This was shared by him on his Instagram Story in March, along with photos of his kids, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
