Chucky's Killer Perks, Abilities, and More

Dead by Daylight's upcoming PTB update will introduce a new killer known as The Good Guy, famously recognized by horror enthusiasts as Chucky from the iconic horror flick Child's Play. Devoted fans have consistently clamored for the inclusion of this renowned character in Dead by Daylight, and the latest patch notes divulge the chilling details on how this murderous doll will relentlessly pursue survivors when Chucky joins DBD in November.

A fixed third-person camera positioned above and behind Chucky.

Fading footprints left behind to balance the increased stealth from his shorter stature.

Special Ability: Hidey-Ho Mode eliminates the Terror Radius and generates footprint and audio distractions throughout the entire map.

Special Ability: Slice and Dice initiates a rapid sprint followed by a powerful finishing attack.

Scamper enables Chucky to swiftly move through vaults and pallets without damaging them.

The Hex: Two Can Play perk converts a Dull Totem into a Hex Totem whenever Chucky is affected by a stun or blindness.

Important

Content

The progress and data information from the Live game has been successfully transferred to our PTB servers on October 30th. It is important to note that during the PTB, players will have the ability to make progress, however, it should be understood that none of this progress will carry over to the Live version of the game.

New Killer - The Good Guy

Killer Power

The Good Guy possesses two distinct modes that he can alternate between - Normal Mode and Hidey-Ho Mode. To compensate for his height disadvantage, The Good Guy is accompanied by a stationary third-person camera situated above and behind him, offering players an enhanced perspective of their environment. Despite being notably shorter than other Killers, he possesses exceptional stealth capabilities, although his footprints gradually fade as he moves.

Distinctive Trait: Hidey-Ho Mode

Press the Active Ability button to activate Hidey-Ho Mode, granting the Killer 14 seconds of undetectable presence. During this mode, the Killer's Terror Radius is completely eliminated, while deceptive footprints and sounds are generated throughout the entire map.

Special Attack: Slice & Dice

To activate Hidey-Ho Mode, hold down the Special Attack button and charge up for a powerful Slice & Dice Attack. Once charged, swiftly dash forward and unleash the attack either at the end or upon releasing the Special Attack button.

Unique Skill: Scamper

While in Hidey-Ho Mode, when you are near a vault or pallet, press the Interaction button to scamper through it quickly without breaking it.

Perks

Hex: Dual Game

Every time you are caught off guard or temporarily lose your sight due to a Survivor's actions, this Perk activates when it occurs 4/3/2 times. As long as the Hex Totem remains intact, any Survivor who attempts to stun or blind you will themselves be blinded for a duration of 1.5 seconds.

When you successfully catch a Survivor who is not the designated target, the designated target will be temporarily revealed and visible to all for a duration of 20 seconds. Additionally, their location will be exposed for a period of 6/8/10 seconds. In the event that you capture the designated target, another Survivor will scream and reveal their whereabouts, subsequently becoming the new designated target.
