Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend will always remember their son, Jack, who was stillborn in 2020. "I had a lovely birthday. Went to see my friends at @flamingo_estate, had a wonderful lunch with friends, and then did ketamine therapy," Teigen, 38, shared on Instagram on December 1. "I saw space and time and baby Jack, some strange penguins, and cried and cried and cried. Then I cuddled with my babies, had hot pot, and spent time with my best friend."
Ketamine is commonly utilized in the treatment of depression and anxiety, with patients taking small doses to enhance their overall mood, behavior, and mindset, and it can also produce hallucinogenic effects.
In September 2020, Teigen and Legend, age 44, shared the news of their pregnancy loss, later explaining that it was a medically necessary termination. The founder of Cravings had experienced a placental abruption, leading to the need for two blood transfusions. Due to the circumstances, she had to deliver the baby, named Jack by the couple, five months prematurely.
“At the time, Teigen wrote via Instagram that we were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed. He will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. We are so

If Jack had survived, he would have been the third child of Teigen and Legend. The couple had previously become parents to daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5. Following Jack's passing, they paid tribute to him by participating in a Thai blessing ceremony, getting matching tattoos of his name, and dedicating Teigen's Cravings All Together cookbook to his memory.
Almost two years later, Teigen learned she was expecting the couple's rainbow baby. Their daughter Esti Maxine was born in January, almost six months ahead of son Wren Alexander, who was born via surrogate in June. The surrogacy process had already started before they found out about Teigen's pregnancy.
"After Wren's birth, a source exclusively told We, 'Four is enough.' They enjoy having a lively household, but anything more feels a little overwhelming for them."
