Chrissy Teigen and John Legend prioritize keeping their relationship strong, according to an insider in the latest issue of We. They make it a point to schedule date nights and enjoy dining out or visiting trendy bars together.
Teigen and Legend have had a busy year as their family continues to grow. This past January, they welcomed daughter Esti, and in June, son Wren arrived via surrogate. The couple also has daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5. Despite their busy lives as parents, they still make time for romance, recently celebrating Legend's 45th birthday with a romantic date night at The Polo Bar in New York City.
Chrissy is grateful to have a husband who is both romantic and attentive, according to the source. The couple, who have been married since 2013, became even closer after experiencing the loss of their son Jack in 2020, as Legend has shared in the past.
“We’ve encountered enough challenges together that have truly strengthened us and made us more resilient,” revealed the Grammy winner during an October 2022 episode of the “On Purpose With Jay Shetty” podcast. “These experiences have allowed us to grow closer and discover new things about each other. I now think she’s even more amazing than I had ever imagined. I’ve witnessed her in all kinds of situations and I now appreciate and admire her more than ever before.”

According to Legend, the couple has experienced significant personal growth through their grief, causing a shift in their marriage dynamics. He shared, "I have gained a deep understanding of her personality, how she handles stress, and how she copes with life. I've seen her find humor even in the most difficult times, including grief. As we grow and face adversity together, I continue to discover new things about her that make me love and appreciate her even more."
Legend has expressed his love for Teigen through his music, with the hit "All of Me" off his 2013 album, Love in the Future, dedicated to her and featuring her in the music video. They also teamed up in September 2022 for the music video for his song "Wonder Woman," which featured a then-pregnant Teigen and their children Luna and Miles. This marked the third time Teigen and Legend appeared on screen together, as they initially met while filming a music video for his single "Stereo" in 2006.
The singer celebrated his 9th anniversary with his spouse, referring to her as his "wonder woman." In response, his wife shared a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude for their partnership and looking forward to the future.
Even when it comes to their self-care routine, Teigen and Legend prioritize thoughtfulness and attentiveness towards each other. In a January 2023 interview with The Cut, Legend shared that the couple frequently shower together as a way to enhance intimacy, not only between themselves but also with their growing family.
