John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have a stylish and practical dining room in their Beverly Hills home. In a recent Architectural Digest home tour, Teigen mentioned that the room's spacious table serves a different purpose. Instead of formal meals, it is often occupied by her Girl Scouts who come together to make delicious dirt cups, with Thanksgiving being the only exception.
Teigen, who leads her 7-year-old daughter Luna's Girl Scout Troop, has a knack for it, according to Legend. He praised her for always coming up with innovative ideas and crafts for the Girl Scouts. Along with Luna, they have three other children - Miles, 5, Esti, 6 months, and Wren, 1 month, who was born in June through a surrogate.
Legend proceeded to describe the furniture piece as incredibly heavy, emphasizing that it would require a team of people to move it. As a result, they have decided to keep it in its current location permanently.
Working alongside interior designer Jake Arnold, the duo made thoughtful home choices while considering their little ones' needs, even selecting durable fabrics, some of which are designed for outdoor use. "These fabrics can handle whatever our kids throw at them," Legend revealed. Teigen chimed in with a humorous addition, stating, "And dog pee, too."Architectural Digest
Their kids' bedrooms were meticulously designed, exceeding anyone's wildest dreams of what a bedroom should look like. Luna's room is a lavender paradise, complete with a slide and hanging swing, while Miles' safari-themed abode boasts a climbing wall and a double-decker Jeep bed.
A beloved and frequently used space in their home is the family room, decorated in pink and green. Legend shares that his wife constantly has Bravo TV on, almost non-stop. Teigen confirms, "I'm not joking. So, whether I wake up at 9 a.m. or go to bed at 10 p.m., reality TV is always playing in the background."
However, Teigen pointed out that her children find the reality TV network’s shows to be a valuable "educational resource". "They observe and listen to it, and they understand that Mommy enjoys watching her Bravo and that fighting like this is not advisable," she clarified. "We remind them, 'This kind of conflict is not beneficial.'"

In their print interview with Architectural Digest, published on Tuesday, the couple shared how each house they have lived in represents a different chapter in their lives, comparing it to a book. Teigen mentioned this, emphasizing the significance of each home reflecting their stage in life.
Legend, on the other hand, explained that they were drawn to their current California home because of its bright and spacious atmosphere. He expressed their love for its openness and seamless integration with the outdoors. Their main intention was to create a magical space, especially for their children.
Teigen frequently offers glimpses into her family's domestic life on Instagram, capturing moments through photos and videos of herself spending time with her children. On July 18, she shared two unsuccessful living room family photo tries with Luna, Miles, Esti, and Maxi, captioning them " 'One with all my babies' never works."
