Chelsea first-team coach, Bruno Saltor, has left the club amid a reshuffle of Mauricio Pochettino's backroom staff.
Pochettino has yet to decide whether to bring in his own replacement.
Chelsea have experienced their poorest season start since 1978 after partaking in six games.
Saltor joined the coaching staff at Stamford Bridge under Graham Potter's leadership, and when the previous manager from Brighton was dismissed after a mere 31 matches, Saltor assumed the role of interim Chelsea boss.
Potter and Saltor were colleagues at Brighton, where the Spaniard served as a youth development coach. However, We News has verified that Saltor has recently parted ways with Chelsea. Both parties have agreed to mutually terminate the final two years of his contract.
Poch: Players need to 'grow up'
Mauricio Pochettino urged his players to mature as a team following their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, which resulted in the worst beginning to a top-flight season in 45 years.Pochettino will be without his starting striker, Nicolas Jackson, who received his fifth yellow card in his sixth Premier League game, resulting in a one-match suspension. Additionally, Malo Gusto will be unavailable due to a red card. Furthermore, the entire squad has been unable to score in three consecutive matches, leading to a poor run of form. As a result, the Blues currently find themselves in 14th place in the Premier League, with only five points earned after six games, marking their worst performance since 1978.
Pochettino emphasized the importance of collective growth for the team, rather than just individual development. He acknowledged that young players like Nicolas need time to adapt to the Premier League and gain valuable experience. Despite the team's competitive spirit and desire to win, Pochettino recognized that mistakes are part of the learning process for young players.
Neville: Chelsea chaos 'a mystery'
This is precisely why our disappointment arises – encountering numerous situations akin to this. Instances such as these only serve as inconsequential factors, resulting in the ultimate loss of the game. Urgent transformation is imperative to rectify our current predicament.
We pundit Gary Neville:
"What's happening? I've got great faith in Mauricio Pochettino, but he's just got a huge pack of cards and he's probably struggling to know which hand to play.
The situation at Chelsea is shrouded in uncertainty. It appears that chaos is pervasive within the club, as I have previously noted in the case of United. While I believe that the manager will remain unchanged, there are likely to be some alterations in their approach to operations and personnel responsible for future transactions over the next year.
The way it is currently being operated, I doubt its longevity. It seems chaotic and unsustainable. Although they have had a terrible start, they must persevere. Rapid improvement in the outcomes is essential.
