Chase Stokes Relationship Enlightened Kelsea Ballerini on the Power of Intimacy
Kelsea Ballerini opens up about her intimate connection with Chase Stokes on 'Call Her Daddy,' shedding light on their unique bond and how it surpasses her previous relationships

Kelsea Ballerini is in a phase of healing and love, with thanks to Chase Stokes, and now she is prepared to open up about it all.
During her appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast on Wednesday, November 29, the 30-year-old singer gushed about her boyfriend, calling him "the most emotionally intelligent man" she has ever met. "I keep telling him he's a man written by a woman," she added.
Ballerini began dating Stokes, 31, in January, shortly after completing her divorce from ex-husband Morgan Evans in November 2022. One significant difference in her current relationship compared to her marriage is the intimacy.
"I found it to be very fulfilling and focused on the other person," Ballerini stated. "It's not like that anymore." She mentioned that she's enjoying herself, hinting at the private moments shared with Stokes.
“I never truly grasped the significance of [sex] as a genuine bond in a relationship,” she expressed. “I always saw it as just a routine activity. … But now, I see it as a means of connection for individuals.”

Ballerini Bought Nashville ‘Healing Home’ From Kacey Musgraves
“I just bought the house that we saw / You said it was wrong / But I wanted it all along,” Ballerini sings in her song “Penthouse,” but these aren’t just lyrics.
Ballerini attempted to purchase her current home, a 1920s cottage, in 2020 while she was living with her ex-husband, Morgan Evans, in the penthouse. However, the sale did not go through. She then moved 0.9 miles down the road to a house that she never really loved, while another artist who was going through a divorce at the time bought the house she had hoped to purchase. Ballerini shared that she texted Kacey after her divorce, and within a month, Kacey found her dream home.
Ballerini stated that the two musicians did not enlist the help of real estate agents for the house sale. She described the transaction as a direct interaction between the two women, with Musgraves affectionately naming the home her "healing house" before handing over the ownership.

Ballerini Survived a Shooting at Her High School
After spending two formative years at a high school in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ballerini relocated to Nashville at the age of 15. Reflecting on her experience, she described it as the most impressionable period of her life, highlighting the impact of a school shooting that occurred during her time there as a particularly traumatic event that altered her life significantly.

She went on to say, "I refrained from discussing it for a significant period because it carries a lot of weight and is unfortunately very prevalent. In addition, it often leads to discussions about firearms, which I personally do not feel at ease with."

Ballerini took podcast host Cooper on a tour of Nashville, driving past the penthouse where she lived with Evans. She mentioned feeling "nothing" as they passed her old home.
"I really feel nothing," she said. "Now I just think about the song ['Penthouse'] and how many women have related to it and shared their journey with me. I'm proud of this chapter now, but it's interesting to drive by."

Ballerini Details 1st Date With Stokes
The couple had their first date in January, and things progressed quickly. At the time, Ballerini was performing in Los Angeles and sent Stokes her location.
"I stepped out of the car and he followed suit from his Bronco, looking intense," Ballerini reminisced. "He didn't utter a word as he grabbed my face and kissed me. When he pulled away, he said, 'Thank goodness you're real.' It was truly redemptive in terms of my past experiences with men."
Since then, both Ballerini and Stokes, who are both Virgos, have gotten matching tattoos to symbolize their zodiac signs.

Ballerini Has a Relationship with Stokes’ Ex-Girlfriend
Ballerini called Stokes’ ex-girlfriend Madelyn Cline “lovely,” confirming they met before.
"I'm excited to be on set and connect with everyone," she said, talking about Stokes' show Outer Banks. "Ultimately, I value genuine connections. I don't get caught up in the drama. ... I believe they have a wonderful working dynamic and I'm looking forward to spending time with her."
