Captain Lee Rosbach, 74, will be hosting a new true crime series on Oxygen called Deadly Waters, focusing on murders that occurred on the high seas. The show is currently in production, according to Deadline.
The captain's decade-long experience on Below Deck makes him the ideal candidate for the job. Lee has been part of the Below Deck franchise since its debut in 2013, taking a break from filming season 10 in 2022 to address health issues. Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean temporarily stepped in before his return later in the season.
Off screen, the announcement was made that Lee would be stepping down and replaced with Captain Kerry Titheradge from Below Deck Adventure for season 11. In November 2023, Bravo unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming season, featuring Kerry, 48, taking over for Lee.

Kerry expressed her enthusiasm for stepping into big shoes in the sneak peek, stating, "I like it that way." She acknowledged that good and bad days are part of the job, but emphasized the expectation of hard work leading to rewards. As for slacking off, she warned, "I will turn in a heartbeat." Meanwhile, Lee revealed that he was taken by surprise by the news of his departure from Below Deck, admitting, "I did not see that one coming at all."
The reality star stated that he was not given a clear explanation for the decision. Lee remembered the network telling him, "‘We would like to move in a new direction.’" He expressed that these phrases are cliched and overused in such situations.

Lee is still collaborating with Bravo, co-hosting Coach Talk with Captain Lee and Kate and the rewatch show with Kate Chastain. He has also entered the world of podcasting, hosting "Salty With Captain Lee" with Sam DeCavalcanti. Despite his new ventures, Lee is open to the possibility of returning to Below Deck in the future. He stated, "If they found that they needed me back on the show, I’d go back. I’ve done it for 10 years and I would kind of like to - if I’m going to make an exit - do it on different terms."
