Captain Lee is not only engrossed in the drama of Below Deck, but he also has a wealth of opinions regarding Tom Sandoval's cheating scandal with Raquel Leviss on Vanderpump Rules. Kate Chastain hinted at Captain Lee's vast knowledge and perspectives on Bravo's latest happenings during their upcoming show, Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate.

"He unexpectedly expressed strong opinions about Scandoval," she revealed to E! News on Monday, July 31, regarding her former Below Deck co-star, who is 73 years old. "He described Sandoval as a less fortunate version of Johnny Depp, and I couldn't help but laugh at Captain Lee's ability to stay up-to-date with popular culture."

Numerous Bravo celebrities chimed in when news of Tom's affair with Raquel, who is 28 years old, broke earlier this year. We confirmed in March that Tom, who is 41, and Ariana Madix decided to end their nearly decade-long relationship due to his unfaithfulness.

Kate, who was 40 at the time, expressed her thoughts on the drama by tweeting, "Ariana & I both hail from the same town, so I happened to bump into her and Tom at a bar during Thanksgiving. It was during my first season of BD, so I suppose I wasn't considered 'cool enough' because a mutual friend introduced us, but Tom Sandoval completely ignored me. He was too preoccupied with fixing his hair in a mirror on the wall #PumpRules."

Later on, the former chief stew, who appeared on Below Deck from 2014 to 2020, strongly criticized Tom's shocking remarks about his breakup with Ariana, who is 38 years old.

"Kate shared a clip via Twitter from Tom's April appearance on the 'Howie Mandel Does Stuff' podcast, and speculated about the subsequent call with his PR team. She humorously imagined their reaction, acknowledging that at least Tom didn't say or do anything disastrous during the interview. Despite her doubts about its impact, Kate noted that Tom appeared confident and composed in his responses. Since leaving Below Deck, Kate has been expressing her opinions on Bravo-related topics, and she initially joined the network's Chat Room series in 2020, alongside other notable Bravo personalities."

After a brief appearance on the talk show, Kate alluded to the motives behind her departure. "I didn't feel the need to immediately explain why I left Bravo's Chat Room because I feared people would dismiss my reasons as mere excuses. However, the truth always finds a way to surface," she shared exclusively with We in May 2021. "Sometimes, it comes out sooner than expected. Bravo has been incredibly kind and accommodating, handling the situation in a manner that suited me best, and for that, I am truly grateful."

Kate continued her journey by making appearances on Bravo's ongoing show Below Deck: Galley Talk. Additionally, she is set to analyze the most significant moments from the network's abundant collection of reality TV on Couch Talk With Captain Lee and Kate later this month.
