Brittany Mahomes Shares Sweet Throwback Photo of Husband Patrick in High School: '12 Years Later'

Brittany Mahomes is showing fans the place where her love story with Patrick Mahomes started.

Brittany, who is 28 years old, posted a side-by-side photo on her Instagram Story on Monday, April 1. The photo compared a recent picture of her and her 28-year-old husband with a throwback photo of them as high school sweethearts. In the old photo, Brittany was playfully pinching Patrick's cheeks as they posed for the camera. She had braces on and a big smile, while Patrick looked serious.

The couple recreated the same pose in the current picture, both wearing white T-shirts and denim. Brittany expressed her surprise at how their lives have unfolded over the past 12 years, saying, "Who knew 12 years later we would be where we are at! This life with you @patrickmahomes."

The new photo of the couple appeared to be taken during a family photo session with their two children, 3-year-old daughter Sterling and 16-month-old son Bronze. Brittany shared a series of pictures from the photo shoot on Instagram on Monday, showing the family of four in matching outfits.

Patrick proudly held Sterling and Bronze in his arms in a photo, with a big smile on his face. His son, the quarterback, held a tiny football with both hands.

Growing up in Texas, Brittany and Patrick were friends before their relationship turned romantic. They continued to date even while attending different colleges.

"He ended up going to Texas Tech, and that's when it really hit me, 'Oh wow, he might go play professional football,'" she shared with Today in December 2020. Witnessing him pursue his dream and evolve as an athlete and as a person was truly incredible.

Patrick has been the starting QB for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Brittany has supported him throughout his journey. The couple got engaged in September 2020 and welcomed Sterling the following February. They got married in March 2022, and Bronze arrived in November of the same year.

When the Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl trophy in February, Brittany couldn't stop praising her husband's commitment to his sport.

This season was truly special! After the big game, she shared on Instagram how this guy never lost faith in his team. Despite the challenges and the doubters, he remained steadfast in his belief in the team. He showed true leadership and teamwork, always striving to improve and lead the team to the Super Bowl. Witnessing his dedication behind the scenes left her in awe of him as both a person and a football player. He truly deserved this victory! She expressed her love for him and everlasting pride in him.
