Jamie Lynn Spears revealed the “embarrassing” story behind her sister Britney Spears’ first Grammy Awards.

During the November 22 episode of the British reality series I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”, 32-year-old Jamie Lynn remembered a humiliating moment from the 2000 awards show when her 41-year-old sister Britney lost the Best New Artist title to fellow pop star Christina Aguilera. "I want to tell you about something really embarrassing that happened once," Jamie Lynn told her fellow castmates. "It involves my sister. She was nominated for her first Grammy. It was her and Christina [Aguilera]."

She went on to say, "Britney was obviously the bigger star that year, she worked incredibly hard. MTV had camera crews at our house, filming our family, because it was a given - she was the winner. And then she was there, and she lost."

Despite being just 7 or 8 years old at the time, Jamie Lynn vividly remembers the shock of that moment. "I just remember thinking, 'This is terrible,'" she recalled. "Let's face it, that year was all about 'It's Britney, bitch,' as always."

Jamie Lynn revealed that the loss had a profound impact on Britney. "She was adamant about never wanting to attend the Grammys," Jamie Lynn added. "She was devastated because she had dedicated her entire life to winning one."

Despite this, Britney later won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for her hit song "Toxic" at the 47th annual Grammy Awards in 2005. Throughout her career, she has received a total of eight nominations and numerous other awards.

In her memoir, The Woman in Me, the pop icon revealed surprising details about her past. Britney Spears mentioned how Christina Aguilera posed with her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2003, stating that Timberlake gave Aguilera "sexy eyes." Spears also noted that Aguilera suggested that she and Timberlake should get back together, which she found confusing given Aguilera's negative comments about her elsewhere.

Britney also disclosed information about her relationship with Timberlake, who is now 42. She not only claimed that he had cheated on her multiple times but also admitted to becoming pregnant and having an abortion because Timberlake was not prepared to become a parent.

"I consented to not carrying the baby," she stated. "If the decision had been solely up to me, I never would have gone through with it. However, Justin was adamant that he did not want to become a father."
