As Sean Preston and Jayden James, the sons of Britney Spears, prepare to relocate with their father Kevin Federline, the singer is maintaining an optimistic outlook on enhancing their relationship.
According to an exclusive source, Britney is determined to mend her relationship with her children and has not lost hope. However, due to their upcoming move to Hawaii, she has not seen them in a considerable amount of time and is uncertain when she will be able to see them again. The insider acknowledges that the physical distance between Spears, aged 41, and her sons, 17-year-old Sean Preston and 16-year-old Jayden James, will pose a challenge. Previously, the boys had always lived relatively close to their mother, but with the new arrangement, things will not be the same, despite Britney frequently traveling to Hawaii.
According to a source, she won't have the chance to see her sons before they relocate with their father this week. However, she remains hopeful to make arrangements with them in the near future.
In May, Federline's attorney made a statement, revealing that the 45-year-old former dancer intended to move to Hawaii with their two sons. They sought the approval of the "Toxic" singer, and Spears' lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, agreed to the proposal on her behalf. Rosengart assured that she would not obstruct her ex-spouse's plans.
After the announcement, Spears took to social media to share nostalgic photos of her sons during their early years. Although this public disclosure garnered attention, a source revealed that Spears' intention was to assure her sons that her love for them remains unwavering.
According to an insider who spoke to Us in June, Spears selected a throwback picture featuring Jayden to convey a heartfelt message to her sons. The source emphasized that they will always hold the title of being her beloved children, and the bond of maternal love between them is boundless.

Since their divorce in 2006, Spears and Federline, who got married in 2004, have been successfully co-parenting their sons. In addition to their two children, Federline also has a daughter named Kori and a son named Kaleb with his former partner Shar Jackson, as well as two daughters with his current wife Victoria Prince.
Following her release from a 13-year conservatorship where her father, Jamie Spears, had legal control over her personal and financial affairs, Spears experienced a strained relationship with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden. Jayden expressed his thoughts on their relationship with their mother, stating that he believed she struggled to give them both equal attention and love. He expressed remorse for the lack of attention given to Preston and shared that they viewed their current situation as a safe space to heal from the emotional trauma they had experienced in the past.
