Britney Spears's upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me, delves deeper into the effects of her conservatorship on her personal freedom. In addition, she opens up about how her routine shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The insider confirms that the pop star, aged 41, experienced a significant increase in her homebody tendencies during the initial phase of lockdowns. To combat boredom, Spears immersed herself in audiobooks and engaged in the creative pastime of crafting jewelry. However, there were instances where she found herself simply staring at the wall due to a lack of stimulation.
When she ventured outside, things took a less carefree turn. Supposedly, Britney's father, Jamie Spears, had hired a security team that consistently enforced rules during her public outings. On one occasion, Britney removed her mask at the beach, only to face reprimand and weeks of grounding.
During this time, Britney was in a relationship with her now-estranged husband, Sam Asghari. However, due to his work schedule and quarantine restrictions, he was unable to accompany her. According to a source, Britney felt incredibly lonely and yearned to be with her family. She eventually visited them in Louisiana, but the experience led her to a realization - she never wanted to see them again.
Britney previously faced criticism from her team regarding improper mask usage. However, in 2020, she made headlines once again for setting a positive example. In June of that year, Britney and Ashgari posted pictures on Instagram where they were seen wearing masks while spending time together at a beach, despite not being in close proximity to others. Some commenters questioned the need for masks in this situation, to which Ashgari responded, "These photos will be seen by millions of people, so it's important to set a good example."

In August, Britney and Asghari publicly announced their separation after being married for 14 months. Asghari shared on Instagram, "After 6 years of love and commitment, my wife and I have chosen to end our journey together. Despite this, we will always hold onto the love and respect between us, and I wish her the best."
Following their split, Asghari officially filed for divorce from Britney on August 16, stating irreconcilable differences as the reason. According to legal documents obtained by Us, Asghari is seeking spousal support and reimbursement for his attorney fees from the pop star. Their relationship began in 2016 when they met on the set of Britney's "Slumber Party" music video.
Asghari expressed his lack of nervousness regarding the release of The Woman in Me despite his breakup with Britney earlier this month. This was partly due to him already having read the book. According to TMZ, he mentioned that Britney had dedicated a considerable amount of effort and faced challenges while writing it. Asghari also stated that he felt "very proud" of his ex and expressed his excitement and immense pride for her. The Woman in Me is set to be available for purchase on Tuesday, October 24.
