Don’t Be Tardy star Brielle Biermann has announced her engagement to minor league baseball player Billy Seidl this week. What's even more impressive is that Seidl sought the approval of her adoptive father, Kroy Biermann, before popping the question.
Brielle, 27, and Seidl, 25, have been in a relationship for 10 months, and she revealed that the proposal caught her completely off guard during an Instagram Q&A session on Wednesday, February 28.
She first shared the news of the proposal two days prior with an Instagram photo of Siedl down on one knee.
“Forever with you,” she captioned the photo.
Brielle, the eldest daughter of The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann, was surprised by the news, but her family had already known about it for some time.
Confirming the information, Brielle mentioned, "Yes, Seidl asked Kroy. He actually asked Kroy awhile ago."

Considering the ongoing divorce between Brielle's parents, who adopted her in 2013, it is particularly noteworthy.
Zolciak-Biermann, 45, expressed her happiness for Brielle and her boyfriend, sharing on Instagram on Tuesday, February 27, "I'm so happy for @briellebiermann @bseidl21 nothing makes me happier than seeing my kids happy! It’s the best feeling EVER!! Love you both to the moon and back and look forward to alllll the years to come ️."
The newly engaged couple is taking their time with wedding planning, despite their fast engagement.
Brielle shared, "The second we got engaged everybody was already asking about the wedding date. But honestly, I haven't even had time to think about it. I'm just savoring this special time of being engaged."
Seidl, a pitcher in the Chicago White Sox organization, is currently based in Kannapolis, North Carolina. However, his fiancée has expressed a desire to eventually relocate from Atlanta to Alpharetta, Georgia, to raise their future children.
Brielle shared that Seidl proposed to her after a dinner in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is near the White Sox Spring Training complex. The couple enjoyed dinner on Bourbon Street before witnessing a beautiful sunset together, where Seidl asked for her hand in marriage with a ring from Tara Fine Jewelry Co. in Buford, Georgia.
Seidl is the third baseball pitcher that Brielle has been romantically linked to. She previously dated Michael Kopech, also of the White Sox, and former UCLA hurler Justin Hooper. That seems to be merely a coincidence, however, as Biermann shared with Us that she’s looking for something else in a partner.
“I’m looking for somebody who doesn’t live in Atlanta, so I have a reason to travel and get out of my house,” she exclusively told Us in September 2020.
Barring a trade, Seidl fits the bill.
Editor's P/S:
Brielle Biermann's engagement to Billy Seidl is a heartwarming and exciting event. It's particularly touching that Seidl sought the approval of Kroy Biermann, Brielle's adoptive father, before proposing, showing respect for their family dynamics. The couple's plans to eventually relocate to Alpharetta, Georgia, to raise their future children reflects their commitment to building a strong and stable foundation for their family.
Brielle's previous relationships with baseball pitchers may have influenced her desire for a partner outside of Atlanta, as she seeks a change of pace and an opportunity to explore different experiences. It's refreshing to see her prioritize finding a partner who aligns with her values and aspirations, rather than settling for someone who merely fits a certain mold. We wish Brielle and Billy all the happiness and love as they embark on this new chapter in their lives.
