Popular streamer MoistCr1TiKaL recently announced that he has officially ended his contract with Twitch, a decision made on good terms. Known for his presence on both YouTube and Twitch, Charles "MoistCR1tiKaL" White has become a prominent figure on the internet. His success has even led him to establish his own esports team called Moist Esports, with fellow streamer Ludwig as a co-owner. However, Cr1TiKaL has now revealed his plans to make a significant change to his streaming career by parting ways with Twitch. This decision will allow him to explore new opportunities and expand his horizons as a streamer.
In a video titled "Goodbye Twitch" uploaded to his "penguinz0" YouTube channel, Cr1TiKaL announced that he and Twitch have mutually terminated their contract. Although he clarified that this does not mean he is completely leaving Twitch, the cancellation of his contract allows him to stream on other platforms such as YouTube. Cr1TiKaL expressed his gratitude towards Twitch for their cooperation in the termination process and revealed that his first stream after the contract cancellation would be on YouTube, scheduled for the same night as the announcement.
Following the cancellation of his exclusive contract with Twitch, Cr1TiKaL shared some exciting plans for his streaming content in the future. He teased the possibility of live episodes for the "Moist Wrestling League," a wrestling series he runs himself, which he believes will be well-received on YouTube. He also hinted at an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons series, inspired by Critical Role and Dimension20. Despite the changes, Cr1TiKaL confirmed his intention to continue streaming on Twitch, with the content between Twitch and YouTube likely to be similar.
MoistCr1TiKaL's decision to part ways with Twitch is in line with a growing trend among streamers who are opting to commit to a particular platform. Twitch and YouTube, as streaming websites, have been resorting to contracts as a means to retain top creators exclusively on their platforms. Competitor platforms like Kick have also successfully attracted notable streamers, such as Destiny, in an effort to compete in the streaming ecosystem. By terminating his contract, Cr1TiKaL not only opens up more opportunities for fans to watch him live, but also provides White with the chance to expand his content even further.
