The implementation of the Sell All Junk button in World of Warcraft, originally planned for Patch 10.1.5, Fractures in Time, has been delayed. Instead, this new quality of life feature will be introduced with World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.7. As part of their ongoing efforts to improve the user interface and enhance the gameplay experience, World of Warcraft had previously announced the addition of a Sell All Junk button. This convenient feature allows players to quickly sell all their unwanted items to vendors, while also learning the transmog appearances of those items. Initially, this button was intended to be included in the Fractures in Time content update, which has recently been made available to players.
Unfortunately, there were some unforeseen issues that arose at the last minute regarding the new feature. The exact details of what happened are unknown, but it resulted in the Sell All Junk button not being ready for World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.5. Instead, the Sell All Junk button will be included in Patch 10.1.7, which is expected to be released in the next couple of months.
Interestingly, various popular add-ons have already been offering the functionality to sell all junk items for many years. However, it is important to note that these third-party programs are not officially supported by the World of Warcraft client. Given the complexity of the game and the recent overhaul of its user interface in Dragonflight, it is not surprising that implementing this feature encountered some challenges.
Some fans expressed disappointment that Patch 10.1.5 did not include the Sell All Junk button. They believe that if third-party add-ons can offer this functionality, Blizzard should be able to as well. However, it is important for World of Warcraft to take the necessary time to ensure that there are no glitches before implementing this new feature. If the Sell All Junk button accidentally sold equipped gear or raid drops, players would be even more upset.
Patch 10.1.7 remains largely shrouded in mystery, with only its scheduled release date in the fall known. Based on the previous roadmap, players can anticipate new storylines, quests, in-game holidays, and system updates for World of Warcraft. This may include Heritage Armor questlines for races that currently lack them, as well as other quality of life improvements and a preview of the upcoming Patch 10.2 zone. Blizzard will be releasing an In Development blog on July 13, which may provide players with the initial details about this upcoming patch.
