Chelsea have completed a £14m deal to sign goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from MLS side New England Revolution.

The stopper has signed a seven-year deal with an option to extend for a further season.

Chelsea have made their second significant goalkeeping signing of the summer with the addition of Petrovic. This follows their acquisition of Robert Sanchez from Brighton in a £25m deal. Petrovic, age 23, has been a standout player for New England Revolution, maintaining seven clean sheets in 22 MLS matches this season.

Petrovic began his professional journey in his home country, Serbia, playing for Rudar Kostolac and Presing Pozarevac before eventually joining Cukaricki in 2014. He worked his way up through the club's youth system, even spending time on loan at FK IMT. Petrovic made his debut for Cukaricki's first team in 2019, facing off against Mladost. Since then, he has solidified his position as a key player for the team.
