Romelu Lukaku, originally scheduled to join Chelsea for pre-season on Wednesday, did not report for training as planned. The forward and the club reached a mutual agreement for his absence from the Chelsea squad.
The new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has stated that he anticipates all players, including Lukaku, to schedule an introductory meeting in his office.
It is mutually agreed upon that the most suitable choice is for the Belgian striker to depart, as Lukaku shows a preference for a transfer to Inter Milan despite the attention from Saudi Arabia.
